12. Attach mount 1 using the star knob screws.
13. Attach the protective hood above the VW calibration
board and secure it with the fixing for the protective
hood (1 690 381 232).

Without the protective hood, there is a risk of dama-
ging the VW calibration board during the following
steps.

14. Insert the precision measuring bar into the mounts.

15. Check the alignment of the spirit level for the pitch
angle and the spirit level for the roll angle on the
DAS 800/1000 (VAS 6430) and use the star knob
screws (Abb. 11, item 3) to adjust it if necessary.

16. Use the spirit level for the roll angle (Abb. 18, item
3) to align the precision measuring bar by carefully
adjusting mount 1 and mount 2.

 The spirit level for the roll angle on the precision
measuring bar (Abb. 18, item 3) must match the
spirit level for the roll angle on the DAS 800/1000
(VAS 6430) (Abb. 11, item 2).
