Before first Use
Put the water kettle out of the box and check for any damage in transit. Dispose
of any non-reusable packaging material properly or store it in a safe location out
of reach of children.
Clean all parts of the water kettle before using the first time as described below in
chapter "Cleaning".
Assembling and using the Water Kettle
1. Place the base (9) on a solid, level surface. Slide the power cord through the
cord opening. Unroll the cord up to the desired length.
2. Connect the base to a properly installed, earthed mains socket with protective
connection.
3. Fill the kettle with water. On the water level indicator (5) you can read the
water level. Do not overfill. The water level must not exceed the MAX mark.
4. Place the water kettle on the base (9) and closed the lid (1).
5. Press the main switch (4) up, to switch on the water kettle. Do not use force
when operating the switch. Keep the lid closed at all times during use.
Before using the water kettle for the first time, fresh water should be boiled in it
twice for cleaning. Do not use any additives or detergents.
After boiling, the device switches off automatically.
If you want to stop the boiling process, press the switch (4) down or simply
remove the water kettle from the base.
6. Keep the lid closed when pouring water. There is risk of injury!
Disconnect the base from mains power if you do not use the water kettle for a
longer period of time, when cleaning or moving the device or if any malfunc-
tions occur.
The water kettle is equipped with a protection against dry running. If the water
kettle is accidentally used without water, the protection against dry running will
activate. The water kettle can be used again, when it has fully cooled down.
