• Choose a location where the woofer and the tweeter can be mounted close to each
other.
• Make sure the tweeters are mounted in a place where they are obstructed as little as
possible.
• The position where the mid/woofer will be mounted must be level in order to provide a
tight seal.
• Check behind the chosen mounting locations to make sure that there are no
obstructions in the way, e.g. window tracks, electrical wiring, gas tank etc.
• Use high-quality speaker cable with a cross-section of at least 1,5 mm² to connect the
crossover unit to the power amplifier or to the head-unit.
• Before mounting the crossover, check out both tweeter attenuation levels by setting the
jumper on the crossovers printed circuit board to either 0dB/-3dB/-6dB position.
• Your component system needs some time to "break in" . Especially the mid/woofer
speaker units will need some hours before the optimum sound quality is achieved.
• The high-pass crossover frequency should preferably be set in between 70 to 110 Hz for
the RNC136/RNC136NEO and 60 to 90 Hz for the RNC166/RNC166NEO respectively.
