Before first Use

Remove all packaging from the unit and the accessories. Do not forget to check
the water container (5) and the carafe (10).
Clean all parts of the appliance before using the first time as described below
under "Cleaning" on page 7.
Start-Up and Setting of the Clock
1. Place the coffee maker on a level surface.
2. Plug the power plug (1) into a wall socket earthed to regulations. The display
on the operating panel (9) flashes after a brief test.
3. Press the PRO button once. "SET TIME" is now displayed. Set the time with
the HR (hours) and MIN (minute) buttons. Press and hold a button to change
the value rapidly. After that, press PRO twice or wait for 10 seconds. After
that, the set time is displayed. After the power supply has been disconnected,
the clock must be set again!
4. Before using the coffeemaker for the first time, conduct one brewing cycle
without coffee and filter.

Manual Operation

1. Pull the filter holder (7) out by the handle on the left and insert a filter of the
size 1 x 4 or use the included permanent filter (6). Put the desired quantity of
ground coffee into the filter and push the filter holder back into the machine
until it snaps into place and is flush with the housing.
2. Fill the desired amount of cold water into the glass carafe (10). Open the top
cover (4) of the water container and fill the water into the container (5). Please
notice the MIN and MAX markings on the water container and on the glass
carafe (3). Close the top cover (4).
3. Place the glass carafe (10) in the middle of the hot plate (11).
4. Press the red button to turn the machine ON or OFF (red LED on = ON). If the
machine is in automatic mode (green LED on), it is interrupted by pressing
the red button.
Please notice that the machine turns off after approximately 2 hours. If you want
to use the keep warm function for a longer time, turn the machine off and on
again. This way the machine will stay on for another two hours.
