Using

1. Remove the plastic caps from the measuring probes and switch on the
thermometer.
2. Use the MEAT button to select the meat type and use the TASTE
button to setup the doneness of the meat.
As the taste selection is not possible for all types of meat, the symbol
► will disappear and jump to the next possible setting.
3. Insert the measuring probes of the fork thermometer at least up to the
half into the thickest part of the meat and wait for approx. 15 to 20
seconds. You can read the measured temperature on the display. Tilt
the fork thermometer lightly backwards in order to clearly read the
display.
Please note that cold measuring probes need more time to measure
the correct temperature. If the measuring probes are warm the second
reading might be faster as the measuring probes are still warm.
Make sure not to insert the measuring probes into fatty parts or bones.
Insert the measuring probes into different places in order to check if
the meat is done equally.
If the meat is thinner than 2 cm, it will be done very quickly. It is very
difficult to measure the doneness of thin meat portions.
If the temperature of the selected doneness is reached, the symbol ►
on the display is flashing and you will hear a signal sound.
4. Either, press the button MEAT or the button TASTE in order to clear
the flashing symbol and to stop the signal sound.
5. If you need a second reading, press the button MEAT and then the
button TASTE to prepare the thermometer for the next measuring.
If you forget to switch off the thermometer or leave the thermometer
unused for 10 minutes, it will automatically switch off in order to safe
the batteries. The previous settings will be stored.
6. Press and keep the button MEAT pressed for 5 seconds in order to
switch off the fork thermometer.
Note: If you intend to measure the temperature of a roast in the oven,
remove the roast from the oven before measuring. Do not use the device
inside the oven!
