Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunction and
damage:
The Galileo thermometer contains small and fragile parts, so keep it
away from children. Keep packaging materials and plastic bags out of
reach of children.
Handle the thermometer with care. Impacts or a fall from a low height
is enough to damage the thermometer.
In case of damage of the Galileo thermometer do not inhale the arising
vapours and avoid direct contact with eyes and skin.
Location
Position the theremometer out of reach of children or persons in need of
supervision. Make sure the thermometer cannot tip over.
Select a place without any air flow and without any falsifications of the
measuring results because of e.g. rising heater air. Do not select a place
above heaters, air conditioners, water connections or TV.
Function Principle
The Galileo thermometer works due to the principle of
buoyancy. In the glass cylinder there are several glass
balls that contain liquids with different densities. During
temperature changes the density in the glass balls will
change, so the glass balls will float or sink.
As soon as the glass balls in the thermometer adapt to
the temperature of the environment, you can read the
current temperature in degrees Celsius.
