HDMI compatible radio
transmission kit "BOX"
Item no. 87 38 78
Intended use
This product enables the wireless transmission of HDMI-compatible digital AV signals via radio from a play-
back device (e.g. DVD or Bluray player) to a receiver (e.g. television or monitor).
Radio transmission of the IR control signal from an IR remote control is also possible, so the location of the
playback device can be chosen freely.
The power is supplied via two enclosed wall plug transformers.
Always observe the safety instructions and all other information included in these operating instructions.
This product complies with the applicable National and European requirements. All names of companies and

Explanation of the Symbols
The lightning symbol indicates a health hazard, e.g. electric shock.
This symbol indicates specifi c risks associated with handling, function and use.
The "Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe these safety
instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequential damage!
Nor do we assume any liability for material and personal damage caused by improper use
or non-compliance with the safety instructions! In such cases, the warranty will be null

• The unauthorised conversion and/or modifi cation of the product is not permitted for safety and
approval reasons (CE).
• The product is not a toy. Keep devices that operate on the mains voltage out of the reach of
children. Therefore, be especially careful when children are around.
Use the product where it is out of the reach of children.
• The product is only intended for use in dry, indoor locations. No part of the product should be
allowed to become damp or wet; never take hold of it if your hands are wet!
Use of wall plug transformers involves the risk of a potentially fatal electric shock!
• Do not pull the wall plug transformers from the mains socket by pulling on the cable. Take hold
of it on the sides of the housing and pull it out of the mains socket.
• If a wall plug transformer is damaged, do not touch it; there is danger to life from electric
shock!
First, switch off the mains voltage to the socket to which the wall plug transformer is connected
(switch off at the corresponding circuit breaker or, for example, or remove the safety fuse) and
then switch off at the corresponding RCD switch, so the socket is fully disconnected from the
mains voltage.
You can then unplug the wall plug transformer from the mains socket. Dispose of the faulty
wall plug transformer in an environment-friendly way, do not use it any more.
Replace it with a new wall plug transformer with the same specifi cations.
• The design of the wall plug transformers complies with protection class II. Only use a standard
mains socket as the voltage source for the wall plug transformers (see section "Technical
Data").
• Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it could become a dangerous
plaything for children.
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or accidental drops, even
from a low height.

Inserting Batteries into the IR Remote Control; Changing Batteries
A battery of type "CR2025" is required for the IR remote control. Open the battery compartment at the bottom
of the IR remote control and insert the battery into the battery holder observing the correct polarity (a small
symbol "+" on the battery holder indicates the polarity).
Slide the battery holder back into the IR remote control observing the correct orientation.
The battery needs to be changed when the receiver stops reacting to remote control selections.
Connection
• First, turn off all devices, to which you want to connect the radio transmission kit.
• There is a swivel base (see top image, position 8 and/or 16) beneath the transmitter and receiver modules
respectively. If you want to install the devices upright to save space, turn the base by 90°.
Do not place the transmitter and receiver module on the surface of valuable furniture, without appropriate
protection, as this may cause scratches or dents.
• Connect the HDMI input "HDMI-IN" (2) on the transmitter module ("transmitter") to the HDMI output on a
playback device, e.g. HDMI output from a DVD / Bluray player.
One of the two identical wall plug transformers is used to supply power to the transmitter module; plug the
round connector into the low-voltage socket (3).
• Connect the "HDMI-OUT" (9) on the receiver module ("receiver") to a free HDMI input e.g. on a television.
• Connect the receiver module to the power supply using the second wall plug transformer; plug the round
connector to the low-voltage socket (10).
• If you want to use the enclosed IR transmitter, plug the TRS connector into the corresponding socket (1)
on the transmitter module.
An IR receiver (15) is built in to the front of the receiver module. The IR signals it receives are transmitted
via radio to the transmitter module and then retransmitted by the IR transmitter.
In this way, you can continue to use the playback device's (e.g. DVD / Bluray player) IR remote control,
even though the playback device is not in the detection range of the IR remote control!
• Place the IR transmitter in front of the IR receiver of your playback device (e.g. DVD / Bluray player). The
correct position is normally marked (e.g. with the inscription "IR"). In case of doubt, follow the "playback
device" operating instructions for where the IR receiver is installed.
Getting Started
• Turn on the receiver module ("receiver") by moving its slide switch (11) to the "ON" position. The power
LED (14) lights up.
• Then, turn on the transmitter module ("transmitter") by moving its slide switch (4) to the "ON" position. The
power LED (7) lights up.
• The LEDs on the transmitter module (5) and the receiver module (12) light up when a radio connection has
been established.
• Then, switch on your television. Further, select the correct HDMI input, to which the receiver module is
connected.
• Turn on the playback device (DVD / Bluray player).
The manufacturer may have supplied batteries in the device. If there is a protective cover protud-
ing from the battery compartment, remove it.
