Before first Use
Remove the thermometer from its packaging and clean it as
described below in chapter "Cleaning".
Inserting the Batteries and selecting °C or °F
1. Unscrew the rear cap of the O thermometer.
2. Insert three batteries LR44 1.5 V into the battery compartment
with correct Polarity. The negative pole (-) must face to the front
of the unit, the positive pole (+) must face to the rear and out-
side.
3. Reattach the end cap to close the battery compartment.
4. The switch between the °C and °F display modes, press the
°C/°F button on the back of the unit while it is turned on.

Operation

Remove the plastic cap from the measuring probe and switch on the
thermometer.
Press the ON/OFF/HOLD button to turn the unit on.
Insert the measuring probe of the thermometer at least 2 cm deep
into the thickest part of the meat and wait until the displayed value
stops changing. Briefly press the HOLD button and read the
measured value from the display. After briefly pressing the HOLD
button the measured value is frozen on the display. The illumination
of the LC display turns off after approximately 15 seconds.
Make sure not to insert the measuring probe into fatty parts or
bones.
Insert the measuring probe into different places in order to check if
the meat is done equally.
If the meat is thinner than 2 cm, it will be done very quickly. It is very
difficult to measure the doneness of thin meat portions.
Please bear in mind not to immerse the buttons in liquids. The
measuring probe is of course protected against liquids.
