Using the Bonnets

The terry-cloth bonnet (9) is for applying the polishing agent. Use the foam pads
(6, 7 and 8) to evenly distribute the polishing agent. Use the polishing bonnets
made of lambskin (10) or cotton (11) for buffing out the surface.
1. To attach the terry-cloth bonnet place the machine with the pad holder (5) on
top.
2. Attach the foam pad (6, 7 or 8) with the suitable notch on the hook and loop
surface of the pad holder press the foam pad evenly on the pad holder.
3. Now pull the bonnet over the pad holder. The bonnet must be wrinkle-fee and
fits correctly.
Operation
The dust developed when using some polishing agents may be a health hazard.
Because of this wear a dust mask and eye protection.
Before you start, make sure car and work area are clean and dry.
1. Attach one foam pad and the terry-cloth polishing bonnet on the pad holder.
2. Apply polishing agent to the bonnet Spread it out evenly and observe the
instructions of the manufacturer of the polishing agent. Do not apply too
much polishing agent.
3. Bring the machine down on the surface and then switch it on. This way you
will avoid splashing.
4. Now move the machine evenly over the surface. Do not apply downward
pressure.
5. Before lifting the machine off the surface turn it off.
6. After the polishing agent has been applied to the surface, remove the terry-
cloth bonnet and equip the machine with the polishing bonnet (cotton or
lambskin).
7. Start to buff the surface out in the same place where you started to apply
the polishing agent. Continue until the entire surface has been buffed out.
8. Clean the bonnets and the foam pads after each use and always keep the
ventilation openings of the polishing machine clean.
9. If you do not intend to use the machine for some time, remove the battery.

Hints

Do not use the machine in one place for too long, this may damage the
surface.
Some hard to reach areas may require polishing by hand.
