Overload
If the electronic overload protection is activated (overload
or overtemperature as a result of incorrect installation or
inadequate cooling), the set degree of brightness of the
lighting unit reduces and the fault LED lights. If overload/
overtemperature is applied for more than approx. 10 minutes,
Dimmer 6593-102-500 switches off and the fault LED
switches to continuously ON.
The supply voltage must be disconnected prior to
remedying faults. Check the load on the dimmer and
reduce if necessary.
The dimmer is again ready for operation after elimination of
the overload and following an appropriate cooling-down
phase.
Short Circuits
In the case of a momentary short circuit, Dimmer 6593/
6594-102-500 interrupts the connected loads and subse-
quently reconnects these. In case of a permanent short-
circuit, the dimmer switches off completely and the fault
