7. Inserting/changing the batteries
7.1. Door/window contact
A 3.6 V type 1/2 AA/ER14250 battery is included in the
delivery for the transmitter.
If the battery is flat, replace it with a new battery of
the same type.
Insert a flat object into the recess on the battery
compartment cover and lift off the cover.
Remove the flat battery and insert the new bat-
tery in accordance with the correct polarity (see di-
agram).
Place the battery compartment cover back onto the sensor until it audibly clicks
into place.
7.2. Smoke Detector
A 3V type CR123A battery is included in the delivery for
the smoke detector.
If the battery is flat, replace it with a new battery of
the same type.
Insert a flat object or a fingernail into the recess on the battery compartment
cover and lift open the cover.
Remove the flat battery and insert the new battery in accordance with the cor-
rect polarity (see diagram). Ensure that the red safety catch is pressed down by
the battery.
The red safety catch prevents the smoke detector being mounted with-
out a battery.
Close the battery compartment cover again.
7.3. Motion Sensor
Remove the battery compartment cover on the back
of the motion sensor.
Place one 3.6 V type 1/2 AA/ER14250 battery into
the battery compartment of the motion sensor.
Check the battery polarity (see diagram).
Close the battery compartment.
The motion sensor could be damaged by leaking batteries if it is not used for long
periods of time!
Remove the battery from the motion sensor if the device is not going to be used
for a long period.
