 Never expose the batteries to excessive heat (such as direct
sunlight, fire or similar).
 Store batteries in a cool, dry place. Strong direct heat can
damage batteries. Therefore, keep the product away from
strong heat sources.
 Never short-circuit batteries.
 Never throw batteries into a fire.
 Remove leaking batteries from the device immediately. Clean
the contacts before inserting a new battery. There is a risk of
skin irritations from battery acid!
 Always remove flat batteries from the device.
 If the device is not going to be used for long periods, remove
the batteries.
 Battery lifespan varies depending on the ambient tempera-
ture. It may be shorter if the temperature is lower.
ATTENTION!
Risk of damage to the device.
Rechargeable batteries are not suitable for operating
the device and could damage it.
 Do not use any rechargeable batteries to operate the device.
3.4. Smoke Detector
 Do not paint or wallpaper over the smoke detector. Do not
under any circumstances tape over or cover the openings de-
signed to let in smoke.
 Do not use the smoke detector in environments sensitive to
interference (e.g. in medical facilities with life support equip-
ment) in which the transfer of radio signals could cause the
equipment to malfunction.
 Smoke detectors do not extinguish fires.
 In the event of an alarm, check whether there is a fire source.
If a fire is identified, extinguish it and, if necessary, call the fire
services. In the event of a false alarm, check the device.
