Releasing the Tension of the Steel Cable

1. Push up the release spring (10) (position A) to release the tension of the steel
cable.
2. Hold the lever (2) down (C) until the release pawl (4) pushes up and
disengages the locking pawl (11). Now the rack wheel (6) is moving freely. By
operating the lever back, the tension will be released by one notch.
3. Operate the lever up and down in order to release the tension one notch at a
time.
CAUTION: While releasing the tension of the steel cable, avoid abrupt lever
movements. Only apply even and steady pressure to the lever! Never unlock
the rack wheel while the load is not properly secured!

Maintenance, Cleaning and Storing

 If the puller and tensioner is used extensively, it should be examined and
lubricated by a qualified technician once a year.
 Do not try to repair the device yourself and do not disassemble it. Have it
repaired by a professional only. Only use original accessory and replacement
parts.
 Clean the housing of the device with a dry or lightly moistened cloth.
 Before undertaking any inspection or maintenance work on the puller and
tensioner, make sure the power puller is released. Do not maintain the device
under load!
 Keep the steel cable clean and sufficiently lubricated. Lubricate the cable in
regular intervals by applying a thin layer of grease resp. spray a thin layer of
chain and robe spray. Regularly lubricate all moving parts and keep the appli-
ance clean at all times.
 Store the device out of reach of children.
 Store the device indoors in a dry place that is protected from dust, dirt and
extreme temperatures. Use the provided transport box for storing the device.
