Congratulations! You have bought a high-quality
pump system which should give you many years of
undisturbed pleasure in the garden. Before you
assemble and install the system, please read the
complete manual and follow the instructions. We
cannot accept any liability for damage caused by
non-observance of these operating instructions.

1. Items supplied

1x 12V solar module
1x submersible pump in a filter housing with 5 m
power cable
1x set of nozzles and rising pipes
1x aluminium mount for the solar module

3. Assembling the pump system
The pump system is particularly easy to assemble.
No tools are required.
3.1 Installing the solar pump and
connecting the module
Unroll the power cable completely from the pump
and immerse the solar pump in the water. If the
pump is too buoyant you can remove the filter
housing and load the pump with stones. The filter
housing is unlatched by pushing the plastic lugs
sideways and can then be pressed out.
Make sure that the pump is always under the surface
of the water when in operation. Use the supplied
rising pipes so that the fountain inserts are above the
water surface when plugged in position. Depending
on how deep the water is you can use up to four
rising pipes. If the fountain inserts are still not above
the surface of the water when using all four rising
pipes you will have to raise the pump by placing it on
stones, for example. You can also use a pipe to
supply water to an assortment of attractions (e.g. a
water-spewing frog etc.).

Place the solar module in a southerly facing position
within the range of the power cable. The supplied
aluminium mount can be used to support the solar
module and adhesive strips can be used to fasten it.
Please note that the solar module is breakable and
should not be subjected to any mechanical loads. A
broken solar module cannot be repaired and has to
be disposed of in an environmentally friendly
manner. The power cable plug is simply inserted in
the socket on the back of the module (see Figure 1).
Caution: The plug is non-reversible. Do not use any
force when inserting it in the socket.

4. Cleaning and maintenance

To keep the pump in good working order you should
wash out the filter with hot water at intervals
depending on how dirty the water is. Open the filter
housing as described above.
Clean the solar module with a damp cloth.
Important!
Protect the pump from freezing temperatures!
In cold winter months the pump has to be taken
out of the water and stored in a warm place. The
solar module can remain outdoors throughout
the winter.
