IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING! The following basic safety instructions must
be followed when using electrical equipment. To reduce
the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, injury to persons
or exposure to excessive microwave radiation, please
read and follow all the instructions before you operate
the unit!
• Use this unit only for the purposes described in this
manual. Do not use corrosive chemicals or vapors
in this appliance. This appliance is only designed
to heat, cook or dry foods. It is not suitable for
commercial uses or for use in laboratory work.
• Never operate the unit when it is empty.
• Do not use the unit if it is damaged, if it has fallen or
if it does not function perfectly. If the power cord or
the plug is damaged, it must be replaced before the
unit is used again, either by the manufacturer, a cus-
tomer service representative or a similarly qualified
technician.
• WARNING! Children do not understand the dan-
gers related to using electrical devices. The unit is
not a toy. You are responsible for ensuring that your
children cannot use the microwave unsupervised.
• If you have a pacemaker implant you should consult
your doctor or the manufacturer of the pacemaker
about ways you can protective yourself when using
a microwave.
• WARNING! Foods or containers in the microwave
can catch fire.
• Never leave the unit unattended when it is operating.
• If you notice any signs of smoke when the micro-
wave is operating, switch it off and pull the plug.
Keep the door closed to suffocate any flames.
• Use only containers and utensils which are safe for
use in microwaves.
• Never use thermally insulting packaging in the
microwave because they may contain aluminum.
Remove any caps, metal twist ties or similar items
before you heat foods wrapped or packaged in
plastic or paper containers. Watch the packaging
for any signs of fire during the heating process.
• Remember that the heating or cooking times in the
microwave are often substantially shorter than on a
stove top or in a standard oven. Heating food too
long can cause it to dry out and possibly to catch
fire.
• When the microwave is not in use do not use it to
store any objects such as paper, cooking utensils.
• Liquids or other foods must not be heated in firmly
closed containers or jars since they could explode.

• When liquids are heated in the microwave, they may
boil over in a delayed reaction. Handle containers
with the necessary care.
• The microwave is not designed to fry foods. Hot oil
can damage components and utensils and cause
skin burns.
• Eggs in shells or hard-boiled eggs must not be
heated or cooked in the microwave, since they can
still burst or the yolk can spray out even after the
microwave heating process is already over.
• Foods having a firm skin or peel such as tomatoes,
sausages, potatoes, whole squashes or apples, must
be pierced or punctured several times to permit
enough of the generated steam to escape and
prevent the foods from bursting.
• Prevent injuries to your child from scalding hot
liquids by always shaking or stirring the contents of
baby bottles and baby food jars and checking how
hot they are.
• The heat given off by heated foods can intensely
heat up the food container. Always use a potholder
when you take the food container out of the micro-
wave. Always open the containers away from your
face and hands to avoid any burns from steam and
delayed overboiling.
• WARNING! All repair or maintenance work invol-
ving the opening of the microwave, the removal of
covers, or the replacement of parts, must always be
performed by authorized technicians. Danger from
microwave leakage!
