4 Styling
4.1 For the hair-ends
Forming an outward curl:
Figure C: just before you reach the ends of the hair, angle
the flat iron upwards and continue pulling it through the
hair.
Forming an inward curl:
Figure D: just before you reach the ends of the hair, angle
the flat iron downwards and continue pulling it through
the hair.
4.2 Volumizing
1. Figure E: place the separated strand between the
heated plates, starting at the roots.
2. Figure F: tilt the flat iron a half-turn downwards.
3. Figure G: hold the flat iron in this position and pull it
evenly downwards at an acute angle from the roots
towards the ends of the hair.
4. Allow the hair to cool before finishing.
4.3 Large curls
1. Figure H: firmly hold the ends of the separated strand,
and place the strand between the heated plates, start-
ing at the roots.
2. Figure I: wrap the strand upwards around the housing
of the flat iron, until the ends of the strand is pointing
downwards.
3. Figure J: hold the strand firmly in this position, and pull
the flat iron evenly out of the strand, towards the ends
of the hair.
4. Allow the curls to cool before finishing.
Tip: figure K: the more steeply you angle the flat iron up-
wards as you pull it through the hair, the more intensively
the hair will be curled.
