INTRODUCTION
The Buccan 2 slice toaster defrost or toast your toast perfectly.
Please read the manual carefully to understand how to use the
kettle.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
• Only use the appliance in the way indicated in these
instruntions.
• Never use this unit near bathtub, shower, wash-hand basins
or other containers with water.
• Never use this apparatus with the wet hands.
• If, unfortunately the apparatus is wet, immediately withdraw
the cord of the socket-outlet.
• The appliance must be used only for its intended purpose. No
responsibility can be taken for any possible damage caused
by incorrect use or improper handling.
• Children and persons with disabilities are not always aware of
the danger posed by the use of appliances.
• This device can be used by children aged 8 years and
older and adults, with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have
been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Only use the appliance for domestic purposes and household
or similar applications
• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid for
any reason whatsoever.
• Never place it into the dishwasher.
• Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended (very dry bread can
sometimes begin to burn in the toaster)
• Metal parts become hot !
• Never insert fork, knife or any other object in the toaster !
FIRST TIME USE
Let the unit run, without bread, about 3 minutes to remove the
protective layer of resistance. For this, select the longest time
with the control selector.
The emission of smoke and smell is normal.
USE INSTRUCTIONS
• Place the bread slices in the slot (for the French bread, cut
a loaf shorter than the slot, then cut it in two pieces along its
length.).
Your appliance is provided to receive French bread, but also
pieces of toast or other bread slices if their thickness and their
length are shorter than the slot.
• Press down the bread carriage handle until it stops (in the
same time, the grid inside the slot will tighten around the bread
in order to keep it away from the heating wires).
Then release the pressure and the handle will stay in the lower
position, which means that the heating process has begun.
If the handle comes up immediately, check if the appliance is
plugged in.

• You can adjust the browning intensity by positioning the
browning control selector to one of the degrees marked from 1
to 6. You only have to turn clockwise to increase the intensity,
and anticlockwise to decrease it. The higher the number is, the
more toasted the bread will be.
THE REHEAT BUTTON
Allows you to reheat bread or to toasted bread.
THE DEFROST BUTTON
Allows you to toast the bread that has been frozen beforehand.
• During the functioning, if you think that the bread is toasted
enough or for another reason, you can break the heating
process, simply by pressing the cancel button "CANCEL".
CLEANING THE TOASTER
• Before attempting any cleaning operation, make sure the
toaster is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled
down.
• To remove bread crumbs slide the crumb tray situated on the
side of the appliance.
• Never use sharp objects to clean. Doing so could damage the
appliance.
• To clean the exterior surfaces, simply wipe over with a soft
damp cloth.
• All other maintenance and repair should be performed by a
qualified technician.
