MAINTENANCE
Checking the brake function
Unpack the cable hoist and check all parts for transport damage.
Do not use the cable hoist if it is damaged.
Check the brake function by lifting a load over a short distance (approx. 20 - 30 cm)
and lowering it again. When you release the on switch, the load must be held in any
position and must not trail.
Do not use the cable hoist if the brake is not working!
Inspection
Carry out daily inspections by visual inspection of
the load hook,
the suspension,
the steel cable,
the hook safety device.
▪ The hook and the suspension must not show any deformation or damage.
▪ The neck piece of the hooks must be easy to turn/move.
▪ The hook safety devices must be easy to open and close and must not show any
damage.
▪ The rope must not be deformed, damaged or kinked.
▪ There must be no rust or dirt on the hauling rope.
Cleaning
Clean the wire rope hoist with a damp cloth.
Do not use aggressive cleaning agents to clean the cable hoist.
