Intended use
The Feltest Capto is designed to grasp paper
machine clothing during installation. The
Capto provides a safe and comfortable
manner to pull paper machine clothing such
as forming fabrics, press felts and dryer
screens.
The Capto is self-clamping – the more force
that is applied, the tighter the jaws grip the
material. The soft rubber covers on the jaws
protect the paper machine clothing from
damage.
A rope can be placed through the handle to
allow the paper machine clothing to be pulled
from a greater distance.

For your safety
The Capto can only be operated safely when
all instructions and safety regulations are read
carefully and strictly adhered to.
The jaws must be slid over the paper
machine clothing fully before loading
the Capto.
The Capto should never be pulled using
more than 100 kg.
Only human strength is to be used to
pull the Capto. Mechanical devices
including, but not limited to, pulleys,
levers or hoists may not be used in
combination with the Capto.
When using a rope to pull the device
from a distance, the rope must be
securely attached to the Capto. Rope of
sufficient strength must be used. A poor
attachment or insufficiently strong rope
can cause the rope to break. This could
result in serious injury.
Do not pull the opener while pulling the
Capto. If this happens, the clamping
jaws may open and cause the potential
for serious injury.
The Capto may not be used as a hoist or
to lift heavy objects other than the
paper machine clothing for which it is
intended.
The rubber surfaces of the jaws must be
inspected before use. When significant
