First set-up:
After properly connecting the iron, set the temperature regulator (2) to the middle position, and let
the working surface (7) heat up for at least 30 minutes. This way it eliminates the protective oils
used during transport. At this point it can emit unpleasant odors and some smoke, which is normal
in the first couple of uses.
Turn off the waffle iron and let it cool, then clean it for the first time with a moist rag. Do not use
chlorine or chlorinated products, nor steel wool or metallic brushes that may damage the iron´s
non-stick coating.

Operation:

1.- Connect the article to the 220V/50-60Hz mains.
2.- Turn the timer (1) clockwise to set the desired cooking time from 0-5 minutes. The on light (3)
is lit green.
3.- Turn the temperature regulator (2) counter-clockwise to select the desired cooking
temperature. During this heating process the upper part (8) must be down.
4.- The heating light (4) is lit when it is powered. Once the programmed temperature is reached,
this light turns off and the waffle iron is ready to use.
5.- Grab on to the handle (5) and lift the upper part, then immediately pour the mix into the lower
waffle plate (6). To improve performance of the working surface, spray oil both on the upper
and lower plates.
NOTE
: Take special care to not fill the complete surface. If you pour too much in, the mix
may overflow and the cooking process won´t be uniform.
6.- Lower the upper part (8) carefully and turn the timer (1) to set the cooking time. When the time
is up, you will hear a bell indicating the end of the cooking process.
NOTE
: There is no fixed cooking time, since it depends on the batter´s consistency
and the user´s desired texture; the cooking time may vary from 2-3 minutes.
7.- Lift the upper plate (8) and remove the waffle, taking care not to scratch the non-stick
surface (7). Use wood or silicone spatulas.
8.- Once you have finished using it, turn the temperature regulator (2) and timer (1) to its original
position to turn off the unit.

CLEANING / MAINTENANCE

1.- After use, make sure to turn off the machine. Unplug it from the mains and wait for it to cool.
2.- Remove all oils, fat and food that may remain on the waffle iron with a moist rag.
3.- If you do no use the device for a long period of time, store it in a dry, well ventilated place
without humidity. Cover the working surface (7) with a layer of olive oil, to lengthen its
lifespan.
