A Safety
1 Isolate mains before installation, maintenance or
replacing the lamp. Follow these instructions carefully to
ensure safe and reliable operation. Follow national wiring
regulations.
2 Alleykat must not be modified. Any modification may
render the product unsafe. Sylvania accepts no responsibility
for modified products. The product must be installed in
accordance with these instructions.
B Assembly Instructions
1 Connection: To be connected by a qualified electrician.
2 Connecting cable: By permanent connection of a suitable
cable.
3 Safety distance from light-emitting surface:
4 Mounting: Wall-mounting (fig 5) for both horizontal and
vertical. Front of plate marked 'TOP'. To be secured with 3
screws (fig 7) and plugs (fig 8).
5 Weight: 4Kg net
6 Position of luminaire when on: Horizontal and vertical.
7 Insertion of replacement lamps: See section F.

C Horizontal Mounting
1 Connect the wall bracket (fig 3) to the housing with 4
screws (fig 6) (see assembly diagram).
2 Slide Alleykat onto the wall plate and secure by tightening
the side screw.
D Vertical Mounting
1 Connect the outer side of the wall bracket (fig 3) to the
vertical angle bracket (fig 4) by means of 4 screws (fig 6).
2 Now fix the angle bracket/wall bracket assembly with 4
screws (fig 6) to Alleykat.
3 Slide Alleykat onto the wall plate and secure by tightening
the side screw.
E Electrical connection
1 Release the two housing screws and remove refractor
bowl.
2 Loosen the screw from the gear tray (arrowed) and swing
out the unit.
3 Strip about 90mm of the outer cable insulation and insert

cable (aftre sliding onto the cable the retaining clamp and
rubber gland) through the cable gland in the side of the
housing. The gland can be cut out (diameter between 7mm
and 12mm).
4 Firmly retighten cable gland with retainig clamp.
5 Connect up the L and N terminals through the protective

sleeving supplied. The earth wire (green/yellow) must be
fixed to the terminal marked

6 Swing back gear tray unit and tighten screw.

7 Replace in position the refractor housing and tighten
screws.

1 Where supply voltage is 220/230V, connect the fixture to
the 230V terminal of the ballast. Where the supply voltage

A Sicherheit
1 Vor Durchführung aller Wartungen, Installations-arbeiten
oder einem Lampenwechsel muß zunächst der Netzstrom
abgetrennt werden. Diese Anweisungen müssen zur
Gewährieistung eines sicheren und zuverlässigen
Betriebseinsatzes sorgfältig beachtet werden. Nationale
Verdrahtungsvorschriften müssen eingehalten werden.
2 Eine Benachrichtigung von Alleykat ist nicht erforderlich.
Jede Änderrung kann dieses Produkt unsicher machen
Sylvania übernimmt keinerlei Verantwortung für modifizierte
Produkt müssen gemäß diesen Anweisungen installiert
werden.
B Montagevorschrift
MIN. 1 Anschluß: Der Anschluß ist von einem Fachmann nach
0.5m
VDE 0105 auszuführen.
2 Anschlußleitung: Fester Kabelanschluß.
3 Sicherheitsabstand von der Lichtaustrittsfläche:
0.5 Meter mindestens (siehe Abbildung)
4 Montage: Wandbefestigung (Bild 5) für beide
Montagearten horizontal und vertikal. Kennzeichen 'TOP' zur
Ansichtsseite. Befestigung mit 3 Schrauben und Dübel (bild
7 & 8)

E Elektrischer Anschluß
1 Die beiden Gehäuseschrauben lösen und Lampengehäuse
abnehmen.
2 Gehäuseschaube vom elektrischen Anschlußblock lösen und
Einheit herausschwenken.
3 Abisolierte Mantelleitung ca. 90mm durch die seitliche
Kabelverschraubung von 7-12mm.
. 4 Kabelverschraubung mit Zugentlastung wieder fest
anziehen. (gleichzeitig Zugentlastung wieder fest anziehen.
(gleichzeitig Zugentlastung und Dichtung).
5 Stromanschluß L und N über eine Schlaufe an Klemme
vomehmen. Schutzleiter (grün/geib) wird an den mit
bezeichneten Anschluß geklemmt.
6 Elektrischer Anschlußblock zurückschwenken und wieder
Lamp Code No verschruaben.

HINWEIS!
1 Die Leuchte ist bei Versorgungsspannung 220/230V an die
Anzapfung 230V des Vorschaltgerätes angeschlossen. Bei
Versorgungsspannung gleich oder kleiner (<) 220V muß der
Anschluß umgeklemmt werden.
2 Bei Ländern mit Versorgungsspannung 240/250V ist die
Leuchte mit einem Vorschaltgerät für 240/250V ausgerüstet.
Klemmenanschluß am Vorschaltgerät ist 240V. Bei Spannung
>240V muß der Anschluß umgeklemmt werden.
Klemmanschluß am Vorscahltgerät ist gekennzeichnet.
