Models of the Avenio Bremen
Information
MOIN, I'm new here!
The new Avenio Bremen from Siemens cheerfully greets his driving gesture. To be able to realize Bremen's northern
lights in a model and thus to expand the in-house Avenio fleet by another member is a great honour for the small
Viennese model railway forge HALLING Modelle!
The Avenio-Family is a further development of the Combino short articulated trolleys, which are already equipped with a
driving value under each module. The concept promises less rail wear and better running properties and is used in
numerous European cities.
The first Avenio trams were used in Den Hague, Munich and Doha (Qatar), the corresponding models were
manufactured by HALLING models as high-quality premium models in several editions. In the meantime, other cities
have been added: Bremen, Nuremberg, Düsseldorf and Duisburg, as well as Copenhagen have also decided in favour of
representatives of the multiple unit family.
The Avenio Bremen is already in use, the models from HALLING Modelle are hardly inferior to the great role model in
terms of driving comfort and technical equipment. They have an extremely detailed roof and interior design, with multi-
coloured seats that are true to the original and exemplary colouring. The elaborate printing of the models was carried
out at the customer's request using high-quality and manual labour-intensive pad printing technology, modern UV
printing is only used for the implementation of the elaborate roof plan. The model can be individualized with the help of
The powered models are equipped with a NEM652 interface and LED alternating light. For digitalization, we
recommend the MX600R from ZIMO. Any commercially available NEM652 compatible decoder is suitable. The pin with
the orange stranded wire must be in the position shown. The decoder itself should then be placed on the ceiling in the
car body with double-sided adhesive tape. If the model is converted back to analog operation with a dummy plug, the
plug must be attached in such a way that the missing pin is positioned at the point marked in red.All models are
delivered with a small set of accessories and decals. The correct position of the accessory parts can be found in the
attached recordings.
To open the models, the car bodies are pulled off the chassis. The boxes are snapped into the base plate at four
points each. The side walls of the models are carefully pulled apart a little, then they can simply be detached from the
base plate.
The target signs (decals) are cut out and fixed on the face from the inside of the target sign box. You can find detailed
instructions for assembling decals at: https://www.halling.at/documents//Tutorial---UV-Decals.pdf. The number and
destination plates are positioned from the inside in the display boxes. After drying, the car bodies can simply be put
back on. Pay attention to the correct positioning of the modules. A small set of decals can serve to maintain the
already colourful exterior of the model. Please refer to the attached images and the roof plan for the correct positions.
The roof equipment cannot be installed before the models are transported, otherwise the filigree train radio antennas
(A) could possibly be damaged. The clip-on parts are fixed in the positions listed with a little superglue. To mount the
antenna on module D, the plug pins must be removed and the antenna glued on.
To enhance the colour, the syringes of the antennas and the elongated antenna on component B can be highlighted
with a black paint pen.
