Security warning
This product can harm people, animals and things
as it generates electrical voltage and high heat. The
tool must be used out of the reach of children. The
tool should only be repaired by an authorized repair-
er. Contact the manufacturer or the store where you
purchased the product to be referred to the nearest
authorized repairer.
Important
Before using this product for the first time, read this
user guide carefully. Use the tool correctly to avoid
damaging the tool.
Maintenance
Prolonged use will result in molten material attached to
the blade and blade holder. This material can lead to
a reduction in cutting precision and affect the thermal
conductivity of the blade and knife base. After a short
heating of the blade, release the trigger and clean
the blade and knife base with the supplied brass wire
brush.
Introduction
Heat Knife 250 is a professional air-cooled flamingo
cutter that can be used continuously. Mainly for use in
cutting and grooving in Expanded polystyrene (EPS)
and extruded polystyrene (XPS), polyethylene and
crosslinked polyethylene, polypropylene and other
foamed forms of plastic materials. In just 10 seconds, it
can heat up the knife blade to cut into the material and
you can adjust the temperature of the thermostat knob
to achieve more efficient cutting.
Operation
1. Adjust the thermostat knob to the middle position
(medium temperature).
2. Hold the knife to the edge of the material and ac-
tivate the trigger. A few seconds later, the knife is hot
and cutting can be done. Adjust the temperature as
needed while cutting. Proper temperature and cutting
speed produce almost no smoke. If smoke is formed
while cutting, you are cutting either too slowly or the
blade is too hot. Lower the temperature by releasing
the trigger and pressing again when resistance is felt in
the material.
3. Release the trigger 2 cm before cutting, to ensure
minimal adhesion of residual material to the blade.
Note: The blade is sharpened on one side, always cut
with this side to get the finest cut. The selected blade
must not be more than 1.8 cm longer than the thickness
of the piece of material being cut. The material cools
the blade and the free part of the blade can overheat
and bend.
