User's information control system motor desks
Initial operation & user's instruction
1. Use
o You have purchased a desk for sitting or standing for commercial use in offices and administration areas. The height
of the work surface of the desk can be adjusted using an electric motor.
o This desk must not be used for lifting people or loads.
o The ambient temperature for operating the control unit and power supply must not drop below 5° C or exceed 40° C.
o The desk must not be used in moist areas (bathrooms) or rooms at risk of explosion.
o Incorrect use or use otherwise than in compliance with this operating manual invalidates the warranty.
2. Safety Information
o In order to operate this desk safely, you must read and follow these operating instructions in full.
o Anyone wishing to use this desk must have access to these instructions. This user manual has to be kept retrievable.
Use the bag under the desk for storage.
o The product must not be operated if it has visible damage.
o No structural modifications may be carried out on the product.
o Before using the desk for the first time, take care to ensure a distance of at least 25 mm next to all objects along the
range of height adjustment.
When operating the drives make sure that no obstructions (e.g.furniture) or parts of the body can be crushed! The
height of the desk must not be adjusted if other people are standing at the desk.
o This device may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capacity, or with no experience and knowledge, provided they are supervised or have been instructed in its safe use
and the associated risks.
o Children must not be allowed to play with the device.
o Operating the system otherwise than in compliance with the instructions in this manual, can put people and objects at
risk!Never open the housing of the control unit or the power supply!Unauthorized opening of the housing and repairs
by anyone other than authorized technicians invalidate the warranty and can create risks for users. Only the
manufacturer 'service technicians are authorized to open or repair the electrical equipment! In the event of a
malfunction (e.g. smoke, odors, an unusual noise, or visible external damage) switch the system off. Disconnect at
the mains!
o Electric cables must be secured with strain relief. Power cables must not be pinched, bent, stretched or mechanically
stressed!
o If the mains cable for this device is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service or
similarly qualified persons, in order to avoid any possible risks.
o Make sure no liquid enters the control unit or power supply as this could cause electrical shocks or short circuits!
3. F eatures and general information
o Load capacity: The maximum averaged load capacity for desks with 2 columns is 80 kg.
o Noise emission < 53 dB(A)
o In order to use the work surface and set up the devices, please note DGUV [Deutsche gesetzliche Unfallversicherung
–German Social Accident Insurance] 215-410 Monitor and Office Workstation Guidelines for Design and Organization.
o The duty cycle of the system is set to 2 minutes ON and 18 minutes OFF.
o For information about the manufacturer and furniture type, please refer to the label underneath the desktop.
o The installation of a surge arrester is recommended as protection against surge voltages, e.g. during thunderstorms.
Consult your electric fitter.
o Clean the control unit and handset only with a dry or slightly moistened cloth.
