VI.Using an extension cord

A short power cord is provided to reduce the risk of tripping. Longer extension cords are available and can
be used if care is taken in their use. If using an extension cord, follow these instructions:
1. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than that of the stove
(15A or greater).
2. Use only a grounded extension cord (for countries where one is provided).
3. Place the extension cord so that it does not hang over the cooktop, countertop, or table.
4. Place the extension cord where it cannot be pulled by children or accidentally tripped over.

VII.Cleaning

1. Disconnect the power cord from the wall before cleaning.
2. DO NOT immerse any part of the outer body in water. Clean with a dish cloth.
3. To clean the cooking pot, soak it in warm, damp water, then gently wipe the bottom of the pot with a
dish cloth. Be careful not to press too hard or drop anything on the bottom of the cooker, as this can cause
warping and prevent the rice cooker from working properly. 4. Dry the cooker body and the cooker before
storing it.
