Safety instructions for assembly and startup
AIRTEC components may be used only in the intended areas. Installation and assembly
may be carried out only without tension and pressure and only in non-explosive atmos-
phere by trained technical personnel. Ensure sufficient dimensioning of the exhaust air
routing. The exhaust air of the devices in the dust-Ex atmosphere may not create new
explosive dust atmospheres.
Protect against falling and possibly dropping foreign objects; wire pieces or chips may
cause fire, faulty operation or malfunctions.
If potential differences may possibly occur through the installation of the valves, a con-
ducting connection to the equipotential bonding must be established.
Maintenance, inspection and cleaning
Depressurize the system prior to installation and maintenance tasks.
Manually check the valve after 2 million switching cycles or no later than every 6
months. Check for the following: Leaks, firm seat of the screws and threaded joints.
Replace defective components only by the same types.
The operating company shall determine the external cleaning interval itself by initial dai-
ly inspections.
