• Do not leave the product unsupervised during
the charging process and look out for any
signs of overheating.
• Only charge the storage battery in ambient
temperatures of 10–45 °C.
• The charging contacts on the device may not
be connected using metal objects.
• If the product has been subjected to a strong
blow then store it in a safe place for the next
30 minutes (e.g. in a metal box).
• Never attempt to manipulate, modify, or
repair a storage battery or the product.
• When the storage battery reaches the end
of its useful life the storage battery must be
removed and the product must be disposed
of. Do not try to replace the storage battery.
• The storage battery that has been removed for
disposal must not be re-used or dismantled.
Danger!
• Be sure not to damage the storage battery
during its removal.
• Do not dismantle the storage battery after
removal.
• The storage battery may not be thrown into
the fire or short-circuited after removal. The
storage battery could overheat and explode.
Charging the battery (fig. A)
1. Carefully open the cover (1b) of the battery
plug connection (1c) on the bottom of the
product (1).
2. Connect the end (2a) of the USB micro charg-
ing cable (2) to the product's battery plug
connection.
3. Connect the other end (2a) of the USB micro
cable (2) to a USB port of a switched-on com-
puter or a charging station with a USB port.
4. The charge control light (1d) lights up. The
charge control light turns off as soon as the
battery is fully charged.
5. After charging unplug the end (2a) of the
USB charging cable from the battery plug
connection (1c) and pull the end (2b) of the
USB charging cable out of the USB port.
Use
Warning! Friction produces heat. Only grind
over the same place for a short time so as to
prevent heat build-up.
Warning! Use the product only with the cover
(1e) of the grinding head in place in order to
prevent possible injuries.
The product has two speed levels: slow and
fast (fig. B). To trim your pet's nails proceed as
follows:
1. Remove the cover from the product.
Note: Put the cover on the end of the product
for better handling.
2. Slide the switch (1f) to ON in order to switch
the product on (fig. B).
Note: Begin trimming the claws at the slow
speed level and only then switch to the fast
setting.
3. Depending on the size of your pet's nails,
select one of the two openings on the cover
(1e) of the grinding head.
4. Carefully guide one nail to the selected
opening (fig. B).
Note: The large opening (1g) is suitable
for trimming the nails of large pets. The small
opening (1h) is suitable for trimming the nails of
small pets.
Warning! Always trim your pet's nails at an
opening in the cover of the grinding head.
5. Apply the product at a 45° angle to the nail
and trim to a rounded shape (fig. C).
Warning! Pay close attention to fig. C so as
not to injure your pet's nails as you trim! Take
care that hair or other matter does not get into
the product while you are trimming.
Note: The nails contain blood vessels and
nerve endings that must not be damaged.
With light-coloured nails you can clearly see
where the blood vessels run. With dark nails
you can hold a torch against the nail in order to
make out where the blood vessels are.
