Safety and care notes
❐ This product is a decoration. It is not a toy!
❐ The product is designed for private use and is not intended for
commercial use. Only use the product as instructed. Any other use
is deemed improper.
❐ ATTENTION: Danger of suffocation exists! Keep the product and
the packaging material away from children and animals.
❐ ATTENTION: Swallowing batteries poses a risk of death! Therefore
keep the batteries and product out of the reach of children and
animals. If a battery has been swallowed, you must seek immediate
medical attention.
❐ Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the
candle and on the batteries are clean and, if necessary, clean them.
❐ Use only the battery types specifi ed in the technical data.
❐ Always replace all batteries. Do not use different battery types,
brands or batteries of different capacitances. When changing
batteries ensure correct polarity (+/-).
❐ Remove the batteries from the candle if they are empty or if
you are not using the product. This way, you can avoid damages
attributed to a leak.
❐ If a battery has leaked, avoid contact between your skin, eyes and
mucous membranes and the battery acid. In the event of contact
with the battery acid, rinse the affected areas instantly with plenty
of clean water and immediately consult a physician. Take any leaking
batteries out of the product immediately. Clean the contacts before
you insert a new battery.
❐ The batteries may not be charged or reactivated using other
means, they may not be disassembled, disposed of in fi re, immersed
in liquids or be short circuited.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stovetops,
ovens, fi replaces or burning candles. Do not place any real,
burning candles in the lantern! It is not heat-resistant.
❐ Do not allow the product to fall and do not subject it to severe
percussions.
❐ Never submerge the product in water or other liquids! It is only
splash-proof. Do not subject the product to extreme weather
conditions (e.g. storm, hail) or direct rain.
❐ For optimal functioning, do not expose the product to extreme
temperatures and place it in the shade if possible.
❐ If the product gets dirty, wipe it off with a damp cloth. Do not
use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products to clean the
product! They could damage the surface.
❐ If the product is defective, do not attempt to repair it yourself. In
the event of damage, contact the customer service department.
Warranty conditions
Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair
are excluded from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and
tear.

Start-up
1. Unpack all parts and remove all protective foils and stickers. Check

Dispose of the packaging material in an environmental-friend-
ly manner. It can be recycled. Make it available to the collec-
tion service for recyclable materials.

ner. The product does not belong in the household garbage.
Dispose of it at a recycling centre for old electric and elec-
trical equipment. For more information, please contact the
administration in your community.
Batteries must be removed and disposed of separately be-
fore disposing of the product. To protect the environment,
batteries and rechargeable batteries may not be disposed of
together with normal household waste. Instead they must be
turned in at appropriate collection points. Please also observe
applicable statutory provisions regulating the disposal of bat-
teries.
