Assembly and use instructions
WARNING, read this instruction manual thoroughly before
first use.
Preparing the carrier
The carrier is pre-assembled using the clips on the sides (Figure A) adjust
the right angle. For attachment, use the straps with hooks (Figures B and
C).
WARNING, it is very important to keep the right direction of the strap
(Figure B) so that it can not loosen itself.
Mounting carrier to the vehicle
Figures C, D, and E shows the usual positioning and attachment of
individual straps.
Figures H and I show several examples of how to mount the carrier.
The support legs should be angled between 20° and 30° to a straight line
parallel to the ground. Adjust the arms as shown in Figure A.
Hooks can only be hooked behind the solid metal parts of the vehicle
(trunk door edge) - they must not be hooked, for example, beyond the
edge of the glass! If plastic parts (eg spoilers, different "wings", etc.) are
attached to the rear doors thus preventing the carrier to be securely
attached to the metal structure of a car, the carrier can not be used! If the
carrier can not be hooked over the top of the door, it is possible to attach
the straps in the interior of the car. The carrier must always be securely
fastened using all six hook straps. Thoroughly test the fixing and stable
mounting of the carrier! When properly assembled, the carrier does not
cover the rear lights or the registration mark.
Mounting the bicycle on a carrier
First, remove all loose parts (pump, child seats, different bags, carriers,
etc.) from the bicycle. Bicycles are mounted on the carrier with the frame
near the handlebar and the frame under the bicycle seat. The bicycle must
be firmly clamped and secured by the straps. If you have more than one
bicycle on the carrier, turn each one alternately. After mounting, it is
necessary to secure the bicycles (especially the front one) with additional
straps so that they are firmly clamped to the carrier and can not move
freely. Thoroughly check that no bicycle can touch the vehicle, in such a
way that the vehicle body or paintwork can not be damaged and that no
bicycle can spontaneously fall out. Thoroughly fasten all free parts of the
bicycle and the carrier (including the straps). Never exceed the maximum
carrying capacity of the carrier - 45 kg. If the mounted bicycles covers the
registration mark or the rear lights of the car, it is necessary to use
additional rear lights with the registration plate holder (not part of the
carrier). Also ensure that no part of the bicycle exceed the width of the
vehicle more than 40 cm from the vehicle's parking lights!
Driving with bicycle carrier
The maximum permitted speed, with the carrier mounted on, is 80 km/h.
Never exceed this speed! After driving for the first 100 meters, stop, and
thoroughly check the mounting of the carrier and attached bicycles.
Tighten all fastening straps thoroughly again. Continue to check the
condition of the carriage while driving and, if necessary, stop immediately
and check the attachment. Beware of change in dimensions of the
vehicle, thanks to the use of carrier thus prolonging the vehicle, pay
particular attention to the rear and back of the car. Care must be taken
when riding on uneven surfaces (road rails, crosswise "deceleration"
thresholds, etc.) - drive at a reduced speed!
