Description
The Gamma Green is a solid-state laser module of compact design which produces a highly visible,
stable green spot, without the need for a TEC. It is also supplied with interchangeable cross
projections optic which simply screws into the end of the laser. The unique rotating cross allows for
perfect right-angle cross on a surface even if the laser is mounted at an angle. The module may be
used as a stand-alone alignment laser or as an OEM component.
Specification
Mounting
The module requires a rigid, thermally conductive mount capable of dissipating the heat produced by
the module. It is important that the case temperature does not fall outside the specified limits. A split
clamp with thermally conductive paste is recommended. The unit should be clamped in the region
shown in Fig 1.1 (see last page)
Connection
The unit must be operated from a low voltage regulated supply free from spikes or interference.
Maxamium operateing current is <300mA. It is recomendard that the module is operated from the
lower end of the voltage range to assist with heat disapation.
Flying leads are coded thus:
Red
+3.5 to +5V
Black
0V
Adjustment
Removing the cross generator lens by un screwing the assembly from the end of the laser module will
give access to the beam focussing lens. If operating at close range, this lens may require slight
adjustment by using the focussing tool supplied to give the smallest spot.
Precautions
Avoid mechanical shock, which may affect the laser beam
Do not operate the unit without a heat sink.
Do not attempt to dismantle the unit. Use only an air duster to keep the lens clean
These laser modules are Visible Class 3R laser products CAUTION--The use of optical instruments with
this product will increase eye hazard
