Beschreibung
Das Verstärkergehäuse dient der Aufnahme von
SM 8000-Verstärkermodulen. Es ist ein Aluminiumdruck-
gußgehäuse. Die Rückseite ist mit Kühlrippen versehen,
um so eine optimale Wärmeabstrahlung zu gewährlei-
sten.
Der Deckel kann nach vorne abgeklappt bzw. ganz
abgenommen werden. In Verbindung mit dem Überwa-
chungssystem kann der Zustand des Deckels (geöffnet /
geschlossen) angezeigt werden. Gegen unbefugtes
Öffnen sind Gehäuse und Deckel mit Sicherungslaschen
für ein Vorhängeschloß versehen.
In den Gehäuseboden eingelassen ist ein neunpoliger
Bus mit je einer Subminiatur-D-Buchsenleiste pro Modul-
platz.
Durch einfache Steck-/Schraubmontage der Modulbau-
gruppen sind durch das Bussystem automatisch sämtli-
che Verbindungen für Stromversorgung, Regelung,
Überwachung und Steuerung hergestellt.
Primär-Stromversorgung
Die Primär-Stromversorgung (AC oder DC) kann über
Fernspeiseweichen und/oder über ein Einspeisefilter
erfolgen.
Werden Fernspeiseweichen eingesetzt, so ist mit den
Kabelarmaturen der Einbausatz SMG 089 (Bestell-Nr.
29 089) zu montieren (siehe Abb.).
Das Einspeisefilter SMG 098 mit Verteilfeld (Bestell-Nr.
29 098) wird in die obere rechte Ecke des Verstärker-
gehäuses eingesetzt. Im Auslieferungszustand ist diese
PG11-Öffnung mit einer Verschlußkappe versehen.
HF-Anschlüsse
An der Unterseite sind die Verstärkergehäuse mit
Bohrungen (Ø 18,5 mm) für die Aufnahme von Kabelar-
maturen ausgerüstet. Mit den jeweils kabeltypischen
Armaturen können verschiedene Koaxialkabel ange-
schlossen werden. Unbenutzte Ein- und Ausgänge sind
mit Blindverschraubungen SZF 835 (Bestell-Nr. 29 835)
zu verschließen.
Um interne Komponentenschnittstellen zu Meßzwecken
nach außen zu führen, ist die Gehäusedurchführung
SMG 078 (Bestell-Nr. 29 078) zu verwenden.
Wandmontage
Zur Wandmontage von SMG 090 dient der Haltebügel-
satz SMG 066 (Bestell-Nr. 29 066).

Description
The SMG 090 amplifier station housing is a die-cast
structure designed to accept SM 8000 amplifier
modules. The rear of the housing is provided with
cooling fins to ensure optimum heat removal.
The front cover is flexibly hinged, enabling it to swing
downwards or be completely removed for most con-
venient access. When the amplifier station is interfaced
with the monitoring system, a built-in contact reports on
the state of the housing cover (open or closed). Both the
housing and cover have lugs to permit convenient
tamper-proofing by means of a padlock.
Embedded into the bottom panel of the housing, there is
a 9-wire bus providing a dedicated subminiature D
connector for each module slot.
By simply plugging in the modules and tightening down
their retainer bolts, the bus subsystem automati-cally
establishes all internal power interconnections as well as
control and monitoring signal interfaces.
Primary Power Sourcing
Primary power (AC or DC) can be routed into the
housing using coax power inserters and/or a power filter.
When the station is operated with power inserters, a
Model SMG 089 (Order No. 29 089) installation kit is
mounted across the coax cable entries (see drawing).
The SMG 098 power filter and distribution panel
assembly (Order No. 20 098) installs in the upper right
corner of the amplifier station housing. When shipped
from the factory, the PG11 hole is covered with a
protective cap.
RF Connectors
At the bottom the housings have cable entry holes
(18.5 mm diameter) accepting coaxial cable connec-
tors. Special connector material is available for various
types of coaxial cable. Unused cable entries must be
sealed with Model SZF 835 stoppers (Order No.
29 835).
If internal module interfaces need to be externally
available for testing, Model SMG 078 feedthrough
connectors (Order No. 29 078) may be installed in
unused cable entries.
Wall-mounting
Wall-mounting of the SMG 090 can be accomplished
using the Model SMG 066 bracket kit
(Order No. 29 066).
