Supported by the product's user manual, as well as the inspection log; specific equipment and measuring devices not required. Look over and touch each
component of the product in order to detect faults. If defects are detected at any one of the below control points, the product must absolutely not be reused
and must be replaced with a compliant product. The use of this sheet for periodic inspection is reserved for competent persons.
Inspect the visual aspect of the product; the device must be verifiable.
Ends (according to model):

End on the webbings: Check the status of the buckles at each end of the anchorage strap; there must
be no deformation or deterioration that may alter the strength or function.
Ends on the cable: Check the status of the buckles and metal thimble loops at each end of the anchorage
cable; there must be no deformation or deterioration that may alter the strength or function.
Seams/Sleeving:

Strap: Check the status of the seams at each end of the anchorage strap; there must be no deformation
or deterioration that may alter the strength or function.
Cable: Check the status of the sleeving at each end of the anchorage cable; there must be no
deformation or deterioration that may alter the strength or function.
Metal ring (depending on the model):

Check the condition of the metal rings: there cannot be any signs of wear, cuts, oxidation, or
deformation.
Buckle (depending on the model):

Check the condition of the buckle; it cannot be deformed, worn, broken, or oxidised. Check how it works.
Webbings, cable:

Check the condition of the webbings or cable along its entire length: there cannot be any signs of wear,
cuts, burns, or deformation.
Check for the presence of the protective sheath on the cable.
Marking labels:

Check for the presence and legibility of the markings.

Overall Condition : Evaluate the overall condition of the product according of the above's checkpoints,
and the visual aspect of the product .
