The lightning protection fi lter provides
effective protection against power surges in
the mains as a result of switching operations
or distant lightning strikes.
Additional measures must be taken to protect
against direct lightning strikes (lightning pro-
tection zone 0/A on 1 and lightning protection
zone 2/ category C). The device is primarily
used to protect high-quality telephone instal-
lations, computer systems and audio/video/
SAT equipment.
Connection:
All devices must be switched off before
devices can be connected.
The lightning protection fi lter must only be
interposed between the equipment to be
protected and a properly wired and earthed
mains socket fused in conformity with mains
current I/N. Do not connect to extension
cables, table-top power socket and adapters.
The green and red control lights illuminate
when the device is in operation.
Safety instructions:
Should either or both of the red and green
lamps fail to light up, this means the overvol-
tage protection is defect and operation
