REC LEVEL control
This control serves for adjusting the signal gauge when recording (only active when re-
cording external audio sources, when recording with deck A the recording will automati-
cally be rejected.

Recorder buttons
=REC: Press this button at the same time with button 6 (PLAY) to start the recording.
4PLAY: Press this key for replay.
7 REW: Press this key to rewind the cassette.
8FF: Press this key to forward the cassette.
</5 STOP/EJ.: Press this button once to stop the driving function, press again to open
the cassette case.
;PAUSE: Press this button to interrupt the replay or the recording shortly. By pressing
again the brake function will be switched off.

With this button the fast copy function from deck A to deck B is activated (always only in
combination with the button DUBBING (10)).

Play a cassette
› Playing cassettes is possible in both decks (A and B).
› Press the key POWER (1) to switch on the device.
› Press the 5/8 STOP/EJ button. The cassette compartment (2) opens.
› Put a recorded Cassette with tape opening downwards in the drive.

› Close the drive.
› Select the Tape-input on your amplifier.
› If it is a CrO
-Cassette, press the button PLAY CrO

control LED flashes on the display (4) above the button.
› Put the switch NOISE REDUCTION (3) into the correct position for this cassette.
› The cassette was recorded with the hissing reject system > put switch to ON.
› The cassette was recorded without the hissing reject system > put switch to OFF.
› Press the key4PLAY.
› The playing starts.
› Press the button;PAUSE to interrupt the replay shortly. To continue replay press button;PAUSE
again.
› Press the button </5 STOP/EJ once, to stop the replay.
› Press the button </5 STOP/EJ again, to remove the cassette.
The replay ends automatically when the tape ends.
Fast-forward and rewind
› Before you can forward or rewind the cassette, you must end the replay with the button
</5STOP/EJ.
› Press this key 8 FF to forward the cassette.
› Press this key 7 REW to rewind the cassette.
› Press the button</5STOP/EJ, to stop the forwarding or rewinding.
› On deck B you can check the tape position with the tape counter (5).
