Travel over-voltage protection
with USB
Item-No. 62 51 43
Intended use
This travel over-voltage projection features a 16 ampere Schuko socket (protective earth
socket), two Euro sockets (max. 2.5 ampere each) and 2 USB recharging connection sockets
(each 500 mA) as optional connections.
The product is only approved for use in dry indoor locations.
Any use other than that described above is not permitted and may harm the product and result
in short circuits, fire, etc. The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the
safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Read the operating instructions
carefully and keep them for later reference.

Explanation of symbols
The flash icon in a triangle is used to alert you to potential personal injury hazards
such as electric shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling,
operation and control.
The „Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void for damage arising from non-compliance with these
operating instructions! We do not assume any liability for material and per-
sonal damage caused by improper use or non-compliance with the safety
instructions!
The exclamation mark indicates important information in these operating
instructions that should always be observed.
• The product must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE appro-
val will become void but also the warranty.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong
vibrations, humidity or heavy mechanical stress.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g. during trans-
port), condensation may be produced. This could damage the product.
There is also the danger of a fatal electric shock! Therefore, you should
allow the product to warm up to room temperature before use or connecting
the power supply to an electrical socket. This may take several hours.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren!
• Please contact an expert if you are unsure about the safety or the correct
use of the product.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic
film/bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children, there is a risk of
suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible, dis-
connect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent operation.
• The product is intended for use in dry interiors, it must not get damp or wet.
This could not only destroy the product but it also presents a mortal hazard
through an electric shock!
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impact, blows, or
accidental drops, even from a low height.
• Never position any containers containing liquids, such as buckets, vases or
plants, in the direct vicinity of the product. Liquids may seep into the casing
and thus impair the electrical safety of the device. Furthermore, there is a
significant risk of fire or of a lethal electric shock! If this is the case, de-
energise the corresponding socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and only
then pull the plug-in power supply from the socket. Afterwards, the product
can no longer be used; take it to a specialist workshop.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials are to be observed.
• Do not cascade the product (do not plug several switchable plug adapters,
multiple outlet strips or travel overvoltage protections one after another).
• As a voltage source only a proper power socket (with protective earth
conductor) of the public power supply system may be used (230V~/50Hz).

Start-up
• Only connect consumer loads with a max. total load of 3,680 watt to the travel overvoltage pro-
tection with USB.
• Plug the Schuko plug into a proper mains socket (with protective earth conductor) of the public
grid (230 V/AC, 50 Hz).
Explanation of the status LED
The status LED flashes to indicate that the overvoltage projection or the the USB charging
port(s) are operational.
Maintenance and Care
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or disassembled
for any reason.
Prior to cleaning the device, pull the plug-in power unit out of the mains outlet. Clean the outer
side with a clean, soft cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions since
these might damage the surface of the casing or impair the operation.
