A 25-position switch which selects the required range.
The switch is set to a suitable position dependent upon the
magnitude of the voltage, current or resistance to be
measured. The markings at each switch position indicate
the full sca le deflection for the function being measured.
The switch also cardes the OFF position for the instrument

which in conjunction with the Mode switch (set to check
battery -ve) provides a safe transit position.
Press to Reverse
This press switch is located at the centre of the Range
switch and enables the current through the moving coil to
be reversed without the necessity for transposing the leads.
il and Centre Zero Adjuster
With the Mode switch set for left-hand zero operation,
this potentiometer may be adjusted to set the pointer to
the infinity mark on the scaleplate. This adjuster may al50
be used to set the pointer to the centre zera position when
the Mode switch is set to centre zero.

Movement zero adjuster
A slotted screwhead which may be used to set the pointer
to the zero position (see Operation).
