Summary
This SAA VET control kit is intended for use as a test sample of known concentration for the SAA VET assay . The user
can compare observations with expected ranges as a means of assuring consistent performance of the solo SAA VET
test kit. The SAA VET control is prepared from a human serum base.

Preparation and Handling
Control material is lyophilized and must be reconstituted
before use!
Open the vial very carefully, avoiding any loss of

Add exactly 2 ml of distilled/deionized water.

Warning: Inaccurate reconstitution of the control

Stability and Storage
Unopened vials are stable at 2 - 8 °C until the expiration
date stated on the label.
Stability after reconstitution:

Close immediately after use. Store control tightly capped
when not in use. Bacterial contamination produces an in-
crease in turbidity and/or a characteristic odor. Discard
vial if evidence of microbial contamination is observed.

Warnings and Precautions
This control kit is for veterinary diagnostic use only!
DO NOT INGEST! Excercise the normal precautions
required for handling all laboratory reagents. This control
utilizes human origin serum. The serum is negative HBs
antigen, HIV (HIV -1, HIV- 2) and HCV antibodies test. It is
impossible to completely rule out the possibility that the-
se viruses or other pathogens may be present. Therefore
when using these reagents, handle them with same de-
gree of caution as patient serum.
This control must be handled in accordance with recom-
mendations from Centers for Disease Control/National
Institutes of Health manual, "Biosafety in microbiological
and biomedical laboratories" (1999).
