Commode Chair, Height-Adjustable

Intended Use
The Commode Chair is a medical device. It facilitates the toilet operation if it is not possible or
difficult to use/reach the toilet.
Indication
Difficulties in reaching / using the toilet in time due to different diseases (general weakness, severely
limiting walking disabilities, urge or stress incontinence, faecal incontinence, chronic diarrhoea etc.),
which requires a direct, spatial proximity of a toilet facility.
Contraindication
Strong dizziness, disorientation, no balance/trunk control in sitting or similar requires the unconditio-
nal presence and assistance of a caregiver.
Versions / Description
There are different models/sizes, the selection should be made together with the specialist staff. The
Commode Chair can be used as a toilet replacement for the conventional purpose, but can also be
placed over the toilet during the day as a support aid or used as a sitting aid. The height adjustability
of the legs enables an adaptation to different body sizes and conditions.
Selection, assembly and instruction in use must only be carried out by authorized, trained personnel.
The toilet chair is designed for domestic use, must only come into contact with intact, uninjured skin
and must not be used across patients. Any use other than the above is not intended. Sundo GmbH or
the manufacturer are not liable for any resulting damages, the risk is borne exclusively by the user.
Before first use /Maintenance
First, read the instructions for use completely and keep it until the end of the product life. Check
that the Commode Chair is complete and undamaged. It is delivered pre-assembled and consists of a
frame, seat, cover plate and toilet bucket. In case of damage, the aid must not be used (any longer),
please contact your specialist dealer. No further maintenance is required. The Commode Chair is
quickly constructed with just a few simple steps, without tools.
Height adjustement
The height of the Commode Chair is adjusted on the legs. First the holding clip must be pulled out,
then the telescopic tube is pulled out to the desired length. The holding clip is put back on and has to
snap in completely (see picture).

Use
The removable, padded cover plate can be placed on the seat when the chair is used as a seat. To
use the toilet equipment, remove the cover plate, fold up the toilet seat and mount the toilet bucket
from above or from the side. Remove the lid and fold down the seat. Now the chair is ready for use
for the toilet aisle. Note: the edge of the bucket has a groove ("water edge") that can be filled with
clear water and contributes to the avoidance of odour after the lid is placed. After completing the
toilet aisle, proceed in reverse order and dispose of the contents of the bucket in the toilet. For use
as a support aid, adjust the Commode Chair with the help of height adjustment so that it can be
pushed over the toilet. Then (without bucket) push over the toilet so that the seat cutout is placed
over the toilet.
