Connection and Getting Started
• Before you can begin, unpack the product and its accessories.
• First, connect the power adapter to the socket and then insert it into a power outlet.
• Now, connect the cable, which you want to use to transmit the video and audio
signal to your TV or monitor. There are two options you can choose from.
The first option is to use the video output. To do this, connect the 3.5 mm stereo jack
of the video/audio cable included in the delivery to the video socket of the streaming
box. Connect the other end with three cinch jacks e.g. to your TV. To do this, use the
video input (yellow cinch jack) as well as the corresponding analogue audio input
(red and white cinch jack). Now, change the source of your TV to video. Also consult
the operating instructions for the respective device.
However, we definitely recommend, if possible, to use the HDMI
nect an HDMI
cable to the HDMI
®
an HDMI
socket of your TV set or monitor. Change the source of the device to the
®
correct HDMI
input. Consult the operating instructions for the respective device
®
again.
• As a last step, switch on the streaming box. To do this, press the on/off button
located at the rear of the device.
• The device turns on. After a short time, the message "Ready for Connection" is
displayed on your screen. In addition, the current SSID, IP address 192.168.59.254
and the address of the TV should be displayed.
Configuration
You can configure the device using a PC, notebook, smartphone or tablet. It
is important that the respective device has a WLAN interface and an inter-
net browser is installed.
• First, you must pair the device with which you want to configure the product with
the box via WLAN. Instructions about how to proceed for individual devices can be
found in the manual of the device.
The WLAN you want to connect to is called "NTV300 XXX". It is unencrypted for the
first configuration. The exact name appears on your TV.
If you perform the configuration with a computer with Windows
dow will usually appear "Set network Location". Here, you select your
"home network".
• Now, open your internet browser and enter "http://192.168.59.254/remote/" in the
address line (without quotation marks). Confirm your entry.
This will open the virtual remote control that allows you to configure the device.
To navigate through the configuration menu of the device, use the virtual
remote control. It works like a real remote control.
It therefore does not matter whether you perform the configuration on a
PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone. The procedure is always the same.
If the remote control is no longer operating correctly, simply refresh the
page.
• Next, click on the remote control with the mouse on the "Setup" button.
• Go to the menu item "System" and click "OK". Click again on "OK" and choose your
language.
• Then on the tab "Video", check that the setting is "TV system".
• Navigate to the "Network" menu and set up the first wireless access point to "Virtual
AP Setup". This is where you can register your devices.
It is important here that the WLAN radio is set to 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz. This can be chan-
ged under the tab "Radio Band".
In the "Wireless Security" menu, set the security level to "WPA Key".
Then, click on the field "Password". Enter a password with at least 8 digits for the
WLAN network in the new window. It should consist of numbers, upper and lower
case letters.
Observe the following tips for input windows for passwords and names of
the box.
You can navigate through the letters and numbers with the arrow buttons on
the remote control.
To confirm a letter, click "OK" on the remote control.
You can toggle between upper and lower case with the button "Aa".
To delete a letter, click "Clear" on the remote control.
When you have finished your entry, go to the "OK" button and confirm with
"OK" on the remote control.

• Save the settings by confirming the last item with "OK".
• The box will now reboot. As soon as this is complete, connect your device you used
to configure the box with the new, encrypted WLAN. The last 3 digits of the WLAN
name may have changed.
• Go back to the network setting as described above.
• Here, you must decide whether you want to connect the streaming box to the router
via the LAN port or via WLAN.
• If you decide to use the WLAN, go to "WiFi Connection" and confirm with "OK".
A list with available WLAN networks should be shown. If you can't find your net-
work, refresh the list by clicking on the magnifying glass symbol on the remote con-
trol.
Select your WLAN by pressing "OK" on the remote control and enter the password.
After the reboot of the box is complete, the home screen should show the internet
connection, the name of your WLAN, the current IP address and the new address
for the remote control.
If your WLAN is no longer available at a later time, the box returns to the
standard IP address after several connection attempts. This makes it pos-
sible to configure the device again or to reset it.
• If you want to connect the box via LAN, connect it first to your router or network
switch. Use a 1:1 connected network cable for this purpose. Connect the LAN port
of the box with a free LAN port of your router.
Go to "Wired Connection". If a DHCP server runs on your network, a DHCP address
is now shown.
You can leave this setting, if you are using DHCP.
Otherwise, click on "OK" and enter the desired settings manually, if you want to
allocate a fixed IP address to the device. Leave the menu using the "Return" button
on the remote control.
Now, go to "Virtual AP Bridge" and click "OK". Here, select "Bridge to Ethernet"
and confirm again with "OK" and, if another window is displayed, with "Yes".
After the reboot of the box is complete, the home screen should show the internet
connection as well as the current IP address and the new address for the remote
7, a win-
®
control.
• More settings are generally not necessary for operation. If you want to change the
settings or want to make other audio, video or system settings, click again on the
"Setup" button on the remote control.
Streaming
You can stream media contents from almost every device to the box. This is easiest
with the app "AirFun". This app is available for Android and PC and is provided on the
CD included in the delivery. Alternatively, you can download this app from the App
Store. Furthermore, the app is saved directly on the device. Just click on the "Info"
button on the remote control and download the desired version. We recommend the
app "iMediashare" for Apple products. You can download it easily from the App Store.
• Install the app on your device. To do this, follow all of the instructions. Before start-
ing the app, make sure that you are connected to the box.
• The app is basically self-explanatory. When using Android, you can select the de-
sired contacts for streaming by ticking the relevant box. Use drag & drop at a com-
puter. Simply drag a media file onto the respective field in the software and playback
will start.
„PC2TV"
With this function you can display the contents of your computer, for example, on your
TV. To be able to use your computer must have a wireless interface. You also need to
install the "ScreenShare" software from the supplied CD.
• First, install the software from the included CD. Following all the instructions.
• Press the button on the side of the device until a message appears on the screen.
Then press the button again.
• Connect the WLAN on your computer to the wireless network SSID "NTV300 XXX"
which belongs to the device.
• Start the software on your computer, which you have just installed by clicking on the
new icon on your desktop.
• After the application starts, there should be the correct device selected in the list.
If this is not the case, then change this from the drop down menu on the right side,
which is displayed on your TV.
• Re-enter the "Login Code" that appears on the above right on your TV. Confirm with
" OK".
• When you have made all the settings, press the play button to start the connection
via the software. Once the connection is established, you will see the same content
on your computer screen and on your TV.
