LCD Colour Monitor
Please read these operating instructions carefully prior to
the installation and keep them for later reference.
1 Applications
This LCD colour monitor in TFT active matrix technology
has two AV inputs and offers a sharp and fast picture dis-
play which is rich in contrast. For audio reproduction a
small speaker has been integrated. The monitor is suitable
for universal use, e. g. in video surveillance systems or for
multimedia applications. It is able to display the picture in
a mirror-inverted way and therefore also suitable for rear
monitoring systems, e. g. in a vehicle. The unit is supplied
with a support with mounting screws, two adapters for the
connection of AV signal sources with phono or BNC con-
nections, and a 5 m cable with mini DIN plug connection.
2 Important Notes
The unit corresponds to all required directives of the EU
and is therefore marked with
.
G
The unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect it against
dripping water and splash water, high air humidity, and
heat (admissible ambient temperature range -10 °C to
+60 °C).
G
The heat being generated in the unit must be carried off
by air circulation. Therefore, the air vents at the rear side
must not be covered.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, never use chem-
icals or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the unit and no liability for any
resulting personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the unit is used for other purposes than orig-
inally intended, if it is not correctly installed or operated,
or not repaired in an expert way.
If the unit is to be put out of operation definitively,
take it to a local recycling plant for a disposal
which is not harmful to the environment.
3 Mounting
1) Screw the supplied support to the monitor by means of
its mounting screw (15) with 6.3 mm/¼" thread: Either
to the threaded jack (1) on the lower side of the moni-
tor or to the flat nut (2) movable in the guide rail.
2) For installing the monitor in a standing way, glue on the
support by removing the foil on its lower side or to
improve its stability, screw on the support by means of

the four screws supplied. For suspending the monitor
screw on the support with the four supplied screws.
ATTENTION! When mounting the unit in the car,
screw its support to a stable place to ensure that it will
not work loose and turn into a dangerous projectile
together with the monitor.
3) Release the lateral screw (16) on the support, adjust
the desired inclination of the monitor, then retighten the
screw.
4 Connection
The power supply and the first AV signal source may be
connected via the 5 m cable (14) and the mini DIN inline
jack (12) or directly or by adapter (11) to the jacks (10, 8)
of the monitor.
1) For using the 5 m cable connect it to the inline jack (12)
of the monitor cable.
2) Connect the first AV signal source (e. g. camera, DVD
player etc.) to the monitor via the supplied adapter (11):
Connect the yellow BNC inline jack to the video output
of the signal source, the white phono inline jack to the
audio output of the signal source. Connect the 6.3 mm
plug of the adapter to the jack AV 1 (8).
Alternatively, connect the signal source to the bare
ends of the 5 m cable: The video output to the cores let-
tered with "Video 1" (yellow = signal, black = ground),
the audio output to the cores lettered with "Audio 1"
(white = signal, black = ground).
A second AV signal source may be connected via the
supplied adapter to the monitor: Connect the yellow
BNC inline jack to the video output of the signal source,
the white phono inline jack to the audio output of the
signal source. Connect the 6.3 mm plug of the adapter
to the jack AV 2 (7).
3) The required power supply must have a voltage of
12 V
and supply a current of 800 mA. Use the jack
DC IN (10) for the connection of a power supply unit
(e. g. PS-1204ST from MONACOR). A plug of 3.5 mm
outer diameter and 1.35 mm inner diameter is required.
The positive pole must be at the centre contact.
To supply the monitor e. g. via the electric system of
the car, connect the positive pole to the green core with
the safety support (13) and the lettering "DC IN" and
the negative pole to the black core "GND" at the end of
the 5 m cable.
A defective fuse must only be replaced by one of the
same type!
