Intended Use
DA-12 is a 4-channel remote key with operating frequency 433 MHz. It is compatible with the receivers
DA-2800, DA-2311 and AD-2322 and has four buttons (A, B, C, D) capable of activating 4 channels (1, 2, 3
and 4) of the receiver unit.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be
avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
result in short circuits, fires, or other hazards. Read the instructions carefully and store them in a safe place.
Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

a) General Information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Protect the appliance from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, flammable gases, steam and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
• Keep the device away from the strong magnetic fields. Their influence may damage the device.
• The device must never contact with moisture. Water or similar liquids may seriously damage
the device.
• Use the device only with the designated alkaline battery type 27 A/12 V.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the appliance.
• Maintenance, modifications and repairs must only be completed by a technician or an
authorised repair centre.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Batteries
• Correct polarity must be observed while inserting the battery.
• The battery should be removed from the device if it is not used for a long period of time to
avoid damage through leaking. Leaking or damaged batteries might cause acid burns when
in contact with skin, therefore use suitable protective gloves to handle corrupted batteries.
• Batteries must be kept out of reach of children. Do not leave batteries lying around, as there
is risk, that children or pets swallow them.
• Batteries must not be dismantled, short-circuited or thrown into fire. Never recharge
nonrechargeable batteries. There is a risk of explosion!
Operation
a) Operating principle
1. Press the button of the corresponding channel.
2. The status LED glows, when the radio key is in transmitting mode.
The status LED does not light up if the device is faulty or the battery of the radio key must be
replaced (see the chapter Battery replacement).
The device is always transmitting, when a button is pressed. Unintentional depression of the
buttons may lead to shortening of the battery life.
b) Front / Back
Controls (2), (3) and the device status LED (1) are located on the front of the device.
Status LED (1) : The status LED lights up in the transmission mode i.e. briefly after a button is pressed.
The status LED does not light up after the button is pressed if the device is faulty or the battery
of the device must be replaced (see the chapter 'Replacing the batteries').
Button D (2) : If this button is pressed, the receiver triggers the doorbell function.
Buttons A, B, C (3) : If these buttons are pressed, the receiver activates outputs 1, 2 and 3.
Key hanger (5) : The key ring of the remote is attached to this element.
You will find the sticker with usual specification and 3 screws on the back panel of the device (4). By
loosening the screws you can open the device to change the batteries (see Replacing the batteries).
c) Replacing the batteries
To replace the battery, remove the screws on the back panel of the device using an appropriate
screwdriver. Take off the cover and remove the battery.
Insert a new battery (12 V, type 27 A) into the housing and replace the protective cover.
Make sure that all screws are tightened and the cover is fitted into the initial position. Otherwise,
there is a possibility of moisture or dirt ingress into the inside, which may damage the device.
Make sure also that all three screws are set in their respective initial positions.
Care and Cleaning
To clean the device of any dirt, wipe it with a dry cloth.
Never use any damp cloths, sponges or rags to clean the device. Moisture may ingress and
damage the device!

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory
guidelines.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used batteries.
Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate that disposal in the domestic
waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg =
Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever batteries
are sold.
You thus fulfill your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
