USER'S MANUAL
LITTLE HELPER SERIES
Dual Oscillator (VCO)
The LH-100 is a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and allows quick and easy testing of audio circuits and
speaker systems. The LH-100 generates a precise sine wave and/or square wave at a frequency
adjustable from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. The oscillator is equipped with two separate level controls for sine and
square wave as well as a -10 dB pad to attenuate the output level. Via the VCO input you can connect
external audio signal sources to determine the oscillator's frequency.
The LH-100 produces a precise sine and square wave audio signals to test audio equipment
such as speaker systems
2 separate outputs with variable amplitudes
Variable frequency from 20 Hz to 20 kHz (deactivated at VCO input signal)
Additional audio input for and external signal source
-10 dB pad for output attenuation
DC IN and LOOP jacks
12-16 V DC power unit included
All audio connections via 6.3 mm (1/4") jacks
Safety Instructions
Before your initial start-up, please make sure that there are no transport damages.
Should there be any, do not take the device into operation and immediately consult your
dealer.
Operate the device only after having familiarized with its functions. Do not permit operation by
persons not qualified for operating the device.
Protect the device against humidity and heat. Keep away from heaters and other heating sources!
We recommend a frequent cleaning of the device. Disconnect from mains first. Use a soft lint-free
and moistened cloth. Never use alcohol or solvents!
There are no serviceable parts inside the device. Maintenance and service operations are only to
be carried out by authorized dealers.
Damage, caused by manual modifications on the device are not subject to warranty. If the device
is used for other purposes than originally intended or if it is not correctly connected, the product
may suffer damages and the guarantee becomes void.
The oscillator must be powered by the supplied 12-16 V DC power unit only. The power unit is
allowed to be operated with an alternating current of 230 V AC, 50 Hz. The power unit
falls under protection-class 2 and the oscillator under protection-class 3. Both devices were
designed for indoor use only.

Connections
Connect your audio equipment to the 6.3 mm jacks SINE OUT and SQR (square) OUT. Both
outputs can be used simultaneously. The output level can be adjusted with the LEVEL control. If
the signal of audio device connected in series becomes distorted, you can attenuate the level
with the -10 dB Pad.
The FREQUENCY control allows for sine frequency adjustment between 20 Hz - 20 kHz. If an
external audio device is connected to the input VCO IN the function of this control is deactivated.
Via the input VCO IN, external audio devices such as computers or keyboards can be connected
to determine the oscillator's frequency.
Connect the supplied power unit to the DC IN jack. Plug the power unit into your outlet. As
soon as the device is supplied with power, the POWER indicator lights up.
A further LH-100 may be connected to the jack DC LOOP and supplied with power.

  • Seite 2 BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG LITTLE HELPER SERIE LH-100 Dualer Oszillator (VCO) Anschlüsse Der LH-100 ist ein spannungsgesteuerter Oszillator (Voltage Controlled Oscillator = VCO) und ermöglicht das schnelle und unkomplizierte Testen von Audio-Equipment wie z. B. Lautsprechersysteme. Der LH-100 erzeugt eine konstante Sinuswelle und/oder Rechteckwelle, deren Frequenz variabel zwischen 20 Hz und 20 kHz einstellbar ist.
