Wirkungsweise:
Der Messumformer MU 4524 als Signalformer liegt mit
einer 24 V Stromquelle und den Signalempfängern in
Reihe d. h. alle werden vom gleichen Strom durchflos-
sen. Dieser Messstrom wird vom MU 4524 in Abhängig-
keit von der Stellung des Potentiometers im Eingang ge-
regelt., wobei 4 mA den Nullpunkt darstellt. Aus dem
Nullsignal von 4 mA gewinnt der MU 4524 seine Versor-
gungsspannung.
Einbau und Einstellung:
Der MU 4524 wird üblicherweise im Stellantrieb eines
Regelventiles geliefert und ist betriebsfertig eingestellt.
Wird ein Stellantrieb mit eingebautem MU 4524 ohne
Ventil geliefert, so ist nach der Montage auf ein Ventil
eine Justierung erforderlich. Bei Lieferung des MU 4524
ohne Antrieb wird der Messumformer auf einen freien
Platz im Antrieb geklebt, wie in Bild 1 gezeichnet, ange-
schlossen und justiert.
Justierung des MU 4524:
Achtung: Diese Arbeit nur, wenn ohne Ventil
geliefert !
1. Ventil in Endstellung „ 0%" bringen, Messkreis mit
24 V = versorgen und über Strommesser führen.
2. Hubpotentiometer mechanisch so einstellen, daß
ca. 4 mA fließen. (Verdrehung der Achse)
3. Mit Trimmer „0 %" diese 4 mA genau einstellen.
4. Ventil in Endstellung „100% Hub" bringen und mit
Trimmer „100%" den Endwert 20 mA einstellen.
Elektrischer Anschluss:
Wird der MU 4524 im Antrieb montiert geliefert, so ist in
2-Leitertechnik, wie in Bild 1 gezeigt, anzuschließen.
Wird der MU 4524 lose geliefert, werden die verdrillten
Drähte am Hubpotentiometer angelötet.
Drahtfarbe
rot Poti-Stellung bei 100 %
grau Schleifer
gelb Poti-Stellung bei 0 %
Die Farben der Signalleitungen:
grün Klemme 86 +
gelb Klemme 85 –
Achtung:
Signalleitung in der Anlage immer abgeschirmt und ge-
trennt von Starkstromleitungen verlegen

Mode of operation
As an VO module, the measuring transducer MU 4524 is
in series with a 24 V current source and the signal re-
ceivers, i.e. the same current flows through all of them.
This measured current is regulated by the MU 4524 de-
pending on the setting of the potentiometer at the input,
with 4 mA being the zero point. The MU 4524 gets its
supply voltage from the zero signal of 4 mA
Installation and adjustment:
The MU 4524 is normally supplied in the actuator of a
control valve and is set in the "ready" position. If an ac-
tuator is supplied with a built in MU 4524 without a con-
trol valve, a valve must be adjusted after it has been as-
sembled. If the MU 4524 is delivered without a drive, at-
tach the measuring transducer by gluing it to a free
space in the drive, the connect and adjust it as shown in
Fig. 1.
Adjusting the MU 4524:
Warning: This only works if no valve is sup-
plied !
1. Move the valve to the „0%"limit position, feed
24 V = to the measuring circuit and lead it through
the ammeter.
2. Mechanically adjust the valve-position potentiome-
ter so that there is a flow of about 4 mA. (Turn the
axis.)
3. With the trimmer at „0%", set these 4 mA exactly.
4. Move the valve to the „100% travel" limit position
and with the trimmer at „100%", set the limit value
to 20 mA.
Electrical connection:
If the MU 4524 is supplied mounted in the drive, connect
it with two conductors as shown in Fig.1. If the MU 4524
is supplied loose, solder the twisted wires on the valve-
position potentiometer.
Wire colour
red – potentiometer setting at 100 %
grey – slider
yellow – potentiometer
Colours of signal leads:
green - terminal 86 +
yellow - terminal 85 -
Caution:
Always cover the signal lead when laying it in the plant
and keep it away from power lines.

MU 4524
Principe
En tant que générateur de signaux, le convertissseur de
mesure MU 4524 est monté en série avec une source de
tension de 24 V et le récepteur de signaux. En d'autres
termes, ils sont traversés tous les trois par le même cou-
rant. Ce courant de mesure est réglé par le MU 4524 à
l'entrée en fonction de la position du potentiomètre, 4
mA représentant alors le point zéro. Le MU 4524 produit
sa tension d'alimentation à partir de ce signal zéro de 4
mA.
Installation et réglage :
En règle générale, le MU 4524 est livré intégré au ser-
vomoteur d'une soupape de réglage et prêt à l'emploi.
Dans le cas où un servomoteur avec MU 4524 intégré
est livré sans vanne de régulation, il est nécessaire
d'effectuer un alignement après avoir procédé au mon-
tage sur une vanne. Si le MU 4524 est livré sans dispo-
sitif d'entraînement, il doit alors être collé, comme indi-
qué schéma 1, sur un endroit libre du dispositif
d'entraînement, connecté puis aligné.
Alignement du MU 4524
Attention: à n'èffectuer que dans le cas d'une
livraison sans vannes.
1. Positionner la vanne en fin de course „0%", ali-
menter le circuit de mesure avec un tension de 24
V= et le soumettre à l'ampèremètre.
2. Régler mécaniquement le potentiomètre de course
de telle manière à ce que 4 mA environ circulent
(rotation de l'axe).
3. Régler exactement ces 4 mA pour une valeur de
0%.
Positionner la soupape en fin de course „course 100 %"
et régler la valeur finale 20.
Raccordement électrique :
Dans le cas où le MU 4524 est livré monté au dispositif
d'entraînement, le raccordement doit être effectué sui-
vant la technique à 2 conducteurs comme indiqué
schéma 1. Si le MU 4524 est livré séparément, les fils
torsadés doivent être brasés au potentiomètre de
course.

vert – Borne 86 +
jaune – Borne 85 -
Mise en garde:
Le circuit d'acheminement des signaux de l'installation
doit toujours être couvert et isolé des lignes à grande in-
tensité.
