Description
Magnetic contact and magnet must be mounted in a front-end-position in
window frames - casements, doors- and doorframes.
CAUTION:
Neither the contact nor the magnet can be installed in
ferromagnetic materials.
For this case there is the special grade 3 magnetic contact
EMK 46 S G3 M, which was developed for installation in
ferromagnetic materials.
The installation flange must only be mounted using screws made of
nonmagnetic material.
After the mounting is finished, an electrical continuity check must be carried
out (ohmmeter).
Too much force on the housing can harm the glass body of the reed contact.
Therefore be careful when mounting the contact.
Only cyanacrylate adhesives (superglue) may be used to fix the assembly
parts. The processing instructions from the respective manufacturer must be
observed.
