Proper use

❐ This device is intended for barbecuing foods.
❐ This device may be used by children ages 8 and over as well as persons with impaired
physical, sensory or mental capacities or those lacking experience and/or knowledge
if they are supervised or have been instructed in how to safely use the device and
have understood the risks associated with operating the device. Children may not
play with the device. Children may not perform cleaning and user maintenance of the
device unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised.
❐ Children under 8 years of age and animals must be kept away from the device, the
mains cord and plug.
❐ The device is not intended for use with an external timer or a separate telecontrol system.
❐ The device is intended for domestic, not commercial use.
❐ Only use the device as described in these instructions. Any other use is deemed
improper. Incorrect operation and improper handling may cause the device to mal-
function and result in injury to the user.
❐ Defects arising due to improper handling, damage or attempts at repair are excluded
from the warranty. This also applies to normal wear and tear.

Safety instructions

❐ There may be some production residue stuck to the device. To rule out any risk to health,
clean the device thoroughly before fi rst use (see section "Cleaning and storage").
❐ Clean the device before and after every use and keep it clean.
❐ Keep children and animals away from the device and packaging. There is a danger
of injury and suffocation!
❐ Only use and store the device out of the reach of children and animals. The mains
cord may also not be accessible for children. They could pull the device down with it.
❐ Only use the device in closed spaces.
❐ ATTENTION Risk of fi re! Do not use the device if easily fl ammable gases are pres-
ent in the air. Never use the device if a gas source is nearby.
❐ Always set up the device with adequate space on all sides and above it to prevent
the accumulation of heat.
❐ Always place the device on a dry, level, fi rm, and heat resistant surface.
❐ Maintain adequate distance to other heat sources such as stovetops or ovens in
order to prevent damage to the device.
❐ Do not use the device when water or other liquids are nearby in order to avoid the risk
of electrical shock. Set up the device so that there is no risk of the mains cord and
plug coming into contact with water or other liquids.
❐ The device should never be set up and used when highly fl ammable materials are
nearby (curtains, textiles, etc.).
