Backwheel extension
This option enables you to change the tip stability of your wheelchair by
shifting the backwheel: Loosen and remove the 2 screws which fix the
red clamps to the back-wheel extension (Allen key 4mm). Slide the
camber bar along the extension, to the desired position (+0, +2.5, +5,
+7.5 or +10 cm). Insert the screws again.
CAUTION: After the adjustment, tighten all screws firmly.
Backwheel extension for
Standard camber bar
Transit wheels
This option is necessary when the wheelchair becomes
too wide (e.g.: for narrow doors, train alleys). When un-
used, the wheels are set away from the ground in order to
avoid disturbance.
Activating the transit wheels
Loosen the spring clip and slide the transit wheel down
to maximum 2 cm from the ground. Slide the transit
wheel further until the snap head engages into the
next available hole. Make sure the snap heads are
well engaged!
Place the wheelchair near a ramp/support, on a horizon-
tal surface. Hold yourself to the ramp/support and lift the
wheelchair sideways until the opposite backwheel lifts
from the ground. Remove the bachwheel (see : "Back-
wheel assembly & removal"). Set the wheelchair back
onto the ground. Repeat this operation on the other side -
you can now drive on both transit wheels, taking support
on both sides of the corridor/alley to move forward.
CAUTION: The wheel locks have then no effect!
To change back to the 24" backwheels, reverse this
operation.
