3.2 | Explanation of symbols

The following symbols and signal words are used in these
instructions for use, on the saito Bluetooth Communication System
or on the packaging.
This symbol/signal word indicates a
hazard with a medium risk level which, if
WARNING!
not avoided, can result in death or serious
injury.
This signal word warns of possible
IMPORTANT!
material damage.
This symbol gives you useful additional
information about assembly or usage.
This symbol indicates that the packaging
and product can be recycled.
Declaration of conformity (see section
entitled "Declaration of conformity"):
Products marked with this symbol comply
with all applicable community regulations
of the European Economic Area.
This symbol indicates an industry
standard for short-range data
transmission between two devices using
radio technology.
Devices marked with this symbol must not
be disposed of in household waste.

4 | Safety

4.1 | Intended use

The saito Bluetooth Communication System is a stereo
communication system and two-way intercom for installation
inside motorcycle helmets. Using Bluetooth 3.0, it is possible
to receive telephone calls and navigation directions, and to
play music. It can also be used as a two-way intercom for
communication with the pillion passenger or a second rider, as
long as the second rider is within a range of approximately 200 m.
The communication system must be installed in such a way that it
is protected from splash water and must only be used as described
in these instructions for use. Any other use is considered improper
use and can result in material damage. The manufacturer and
supplier accept no liability for damage caused by improper or
incorrect use.

4.2 | Safety instructions

WARNING!
Danger for children and persons with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities (e.g.
partially disabled persons, elderly persons with
reduced physical and mental abilities) or lack of
experience and knowledge (e.g. older children)!
• The packaging film and small parts must be kept
away from children, as there is a risk of suffocation.
