The product serves to protect a laptop computer from theft.
For safety reasons, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. Using the product for
purposes other than those described above may damage the product. Read the instructions
carefully and store them in a safe place. Make this product available to third parties only
together with its operating instructions.

Safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety
information. If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on
proper handling in this manual, we assume no liability for any resulting
personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/
guarantee.
• This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become
dangerous playing material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high
humidity, moisture, flammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, stop using it and prevent
unauthorized use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stress.
• Always handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height
may damage the product.
• Always observe the safety and operating instructions of any other devices which
are connected to the product.

Installation
The USB port of your laptop must have 2 stop clips to lock the product into place.
Write down the number combination and store it in a safe place.
The combination is set to 0000 ex works.
Also refer to the figures in the included English quick start guide.
• Turn the lock shackle 180° upward and press it into the casing until it stops.
• Set your personal number combination.
• Connect the open padlock with the USB port of the laptop.
• Connect the cable to a suitable object's anchorage point (e.g. cable gland in the desk). Run
one cable end through the loop on the other end.
• Insert the the lock shackle into the loop at the cable end.
• Turn the lock shackle down again and press it into the casing until it stops.
• Turn the number wheels to lock the product.
• To re-open the lock, input your personal number combination and pull the lock shackle out.
Now you can remove the lock from the USB port.
Maintenance and cleaning
• Always disconnect the product from the computer before cleaning.
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could
damage the casing or cause the product to malfunction.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Always dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
