Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Das Produkt dient zur Kühlung einer CPU. Die zur Montage geeigneten Typen und deren maximale
Taktfrequenz sind auf der Verpackung angegeben.
Alle enthaltenen Firmennamen und Produktbezeichnungen sind Warenzeichen der jeweiligen
Inhaber. Alle Rechte vorbehalten.

Sicherheitshinweise
Bevor Sie mit dem Einbau beginnen, lesen Sie sich diese Bedienungsanleitung bit-
te komplett durch.
Falls Sie keine Fachkenntnisse für den Einbau des CPU-Kühlers haben, so lassen
Sie den Einbau von einer Fachkraft oder einer entsprechenden Fachwerkstatt
durchführen!
Vorsicht, Lebensgefahr!
Schalten Sie Ihren Computer aus und trennen Sie ihn von der Netzspannung, zie-
hen Sie den Netzstecker!
• Das Produkt ist kein Spielzeug, es ist nicht für Kinderhände geeignet. Durch die aufgebrachte
Wärmeleitpaste besteht Gefahr für die Gesundheit (Mund-/Augenkontakt mit Wärmeleitpaste!).
• Bei Hautkontakt mit Wärmeleitpaste kann diese mit einem trockenen Tuch abgewischt werden.
Reinigen Sie die Stelle danach ausgiebig mit warmem Wasser und Seife.
Bei Augenkontakt ist das betroffene Auge sofort unter warmen Wasser auszuspülen . Suchen Sie
danach unverzüglich einen Arzt auf!
• Fassen Sie niemals in einen sich drehenden Lüfter hinein, hohe Verletzungsgefahr! Stören Sie den
Lüfter niemals beim Betrieb (Gegenstände hineinstecken o.ä.).
Einbau
Je nachdem, ob der CPU-Kühler als Ersatz für einen bestehenden "alten" CPU-Lüfter dienen soll,
oder ob Sie einen neuen Computer zusammenbauen wollen, ist die Vorgehensweise etwas anders.
• Öffnen Sie das Gehäuse des Computers, bauen Sie das Mainboard aus und entfernen Sie vorsich-
tig den alten CPU-Kühler.
Entfernen Sie evtl. vorhandene Reste von Wärmeleitpaste oder Wärmeleitfolie vollständig von der
Oberfläche der CPU. Benutzen Sie dazu nur einen weichen Gegenstand und seien Sie sehr vor-
sichtig, da sonst die CPU zerstört wird! Hilfreich sind Wattestäbchen und ein paar Tropfen
Brennspiritus.
• Beim Zusammenbau eines neuen Computers stellen Sie den Hebel des Nullkraftsockels senkrecht,
setzen Sie die CPU korrekt (und vorsichtig) ein und schließen Sie den Nullkraftsockel wieder.
• Platzieren Sie das Mainboard auf einer glatten, ebenen Oberfläche. Zum Schutz der Oberfläche
(z.B. Schreibtisch) legen Sie einen Karton zwischen Mainboard und Oberfläche.
• Nehmen Sie die Schutzkappe von der Unterseite des CPU-Kühlkörpers ab. Berühren Sie die
Wärmeleitpaste nicht!
• Setzen Sie den Kühlkörper korrekt auf CPU und CPU-
Sockel auf. Achten Sie auf die Ausfräsung "B" auf der
Unterseite des Kühlkörpers. Diese muss auf der Seite des
CPU-Sockels "A" liegen.
Andernfalls liegt der Kühlkörper nicht richtig auf der
CPU auf, Gefahr der Überhitzung und Zerstörung der
CPU! Garantie-/Gewährleistungsverlust!
• Halten Sie den CPU-Kühler leicht schräg und hängen Sie den Haltebügel "C" in die entsprechen-
den Nasen am CPU-Sockel ein.
• Setzen Sie nun den Kühlkörper vorsichtig auf die CPU auf, wenden Sie keine Gewalt an. Achten Sie
darauf, dass die Ausfräsung "B" des Kühlkörpers nicht auf dem CPU-Sockel "A" aufliegt.
• Der zweite Haken auf der anderen Seite ist mit einem flachen
Schraubendreher einzuhängen.
Stecken Sie den Schraubendreher wie rechts bei "1" gezeigt in den
Haken ein.

Biegen Sie den Haken mit dem Schraubendreher etwas nach außen ("2"),
drücken Sie den Haken nach unten ("3") und hängen ihn in die Nase am
CPU-Sockel ein ("4").
Der Haken darf jedoch dabei das Mainboard nicht
berühren!
Rutschen Sie bei der Montage nicht versehentlich mit dem
Schraubendreher ab, Kratzer im Mainboard o.ä. fallen nicht
unter Garantie oder Gewährleistung!
• Verbinden Sie den dreipoligen Stecker mit dem CPU-Lüfteranschluss des Mainboards. Beachten
Sie für die genaue Lage des Anschlusses die Bedienungsanleitung zum Mainboard. Der Anschluss
könnte z.B. mit "CPUFAN1" o.ä. beschriftet sein.
• Bauen Sie das Mainboard in das Computergehäuse ein. Halten Sie dabei aber das Mainboard nicht
am CPU-Kühler fest.
• Sichern Sie alle Kabel mit einem oder mehreren Kabelbindern, so dass sie nicht in einen der Lüfter
des Computers gelangen können.
• Verschließen Sie das Computergehäuse, verbinden Sie den Computer mit der Netzspannung und
schalten Sie ihn ein.
Vor dem erneuten Öffnen des Computers ist dieser auszuschalten und von der
Netzspannung zu trennen, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker!
Tipps und Hinweise
• Falls Sie keine Fachkenntnisse für den Einbau des CPU-Kühlers haben, so lassen Sie den
Einbau von einer Fachkraft oder einer entsprechenden Fachwerkstatt durchführen! Dies ist
immer noch günstiger als eine evtl. zerstörte CPU und ein defektes Mainboard!
Zerstörte CPUs mit abgebrochenen Pins oder Mainboards mit tiefen Kratzern neben dem
CPU-Sockel fallen nicht unter Garantie oder Gewährleistung!
• Wenn der CPU-Kühlkörper irgendwann entfernt werden sollte, muss vor dem erneuten Aufsetzen
der CPU-Kühlkörper und die CPU von sämtlichen Resten der alten Wärmeleitpaste gereinigt wer-
den; danach muss neue Wärmeleitpaste aufgetragen werden. Eine dünne Schicht von etwa 0.1mm
bis 0.2mm reicht aus. Zum Verstreichen ist ein Stück dünne Pappe hilfreich.
Bringen Sie die Wärmeleitpaste nur auf das ca. 1*1cm große "DIE" (dem eigentlichen Prozessor) auf.
Wärmeleitpaste ist nur für den einmaligen Gebrauch geeignet. Durch die
Hitzeeinwirkung verändert sich das Material.
• Zwischen CPU und Kühlkörper darf nur eine dünne Schicht Wärmeleitpaste liegen. Platzieren Sie
dazwischen auf keinen Fall z.B. einen Temperatursensor! Durch den damit verbundenen etwas
größeren Abstand zwischen CPU und Kühlkörper ist die Kühlwirkung geringer, die CPU überhitzt
und wird zerstört. Kleben Sie einen Temperatursensor seitlich auf den Kühlkörper.
• Das relativ hohe Gewicht des Kühlkörpers/Lüfters kann beim Transport des Computers zu
Problemen führen. Durch Stöße/Schläge, wie sie z.B. beim Transport im Auto auftreten, könnte
sich der Kühlkörper/Lüfter vom CPU-Sockel lösen. Dadurch wird nicht nur der CPU-Sockel beschä-
digt, sondern durch die scharfen Kanten des Kühlkörpers auch weitere Komponenten im
Gehäuseinneren des Computers.
Transportieren Sie den Computer deshalb im Auto so, dass das Mainboard "unten"
liegt.
Entsorgung
Entsorgen Sie das Produkt am Ende seiner Lebensdauer gemäß den geltenden gesetz-
lichen Bestimmungen.

Intended use
The product is used to cool a CPU. The types suitable for installation and their maximum clock fre-
quency are specified on the packaging.

Safety instructions
Before commencing installation, please read these operating instructions through
completely.
If you have no specialist knowledge of installation of the CPU cooler, please
arrange for the installation to be carried out by a specialist or a suitable special-
ist workshop.
Caution: risk of fatal injury!
Switch off your computer and disconnect it from the mains supply; pull out the
mains plug!
• The device is not a toy and has no place in the hands of children. The heat-conductive paste applied
to the device is hazardous to health (avoid mouth/eye contact with heat-conductive paste).
• If skin should come into contact with heat-conductive paste, it can be wiped off with a dry cloth.
Then clean the area thoroughly with warm water and soap.
In the event of contact with the eyes, flood the affected eye immediately with warm water. Then
consult a doctor without delay.
• Never reach into the rotating fan: high risk of injury! Never interfere with the operation of the fan
(by inserting objects etc.).
Installation
Depending on whether the CPU cooler is to be used as a replacement for an existing „old" CPU cool-
er or whether you wish to assemble a new computer, the procedure varies a little.
• Open the computer housing, remove the mainboard and extract the old CPU cooler carefully.
Remove any existing remnants of heat-conductive paste or heat-conductive foil completely from
the surface of the CPU. For this, use a soft object only and be very cautious as otherwise the CPU
may be permanently damaged! Cotton buds and a few drops of methylated spirits are useful for
this purpose.
• When assembling a new computer, put the lever of the ZIF socket into the vertical position, insert
the CPU correctly (and carefully) and close the ZIF socket again.
• Position the mainboard on a smooth, flat service. To protect the surface (e.g. writing-desk), insert
a piece of cardboard between the mainboard and surface.
• Remove the protective cap from the underside of the CPU cooling element. Do not touch the heat-
conductive paste!
• Then place the cooling element correctly on the CPU and
CPU base. Note the position of countersunk area „B" on
the underside of the cooling element. It must rest on the
side of CPU base „A".
Otherwise the cooling element will not be resting
properly on the CPU; risk of overheating and perma-
nent damage to the CPU. This will void any warran-
ty/guarantee.
• Hold the CPU cooler slightly diagonally and hook the bracket „C" into the corresponding lugs on the
base of the CPU.
• Now place the cooling element carefully on the CPU; do not use force. Make sure that the coun-
tersunk area „B" on the cooling element does not lie on the base of the CPU „A".
• The second hook on the other side must be hooked in using a flat screw-
driver.
Insert the screwdriver into the hook as shown at „1", right.

Bend the hook outwards a little using the screwdriver („2"), press the hook

downwards („3") and hook it into the lug on the base of the CPU („4").
The hook must not be allowed to touch the mainboard
during this process!
Do not allow the screwdriver to slip accidentally while installing.
Scratches and other damage to the mainboard are not covered
by the warranty or guarantee.
• Connect the three-pin plug to the CPU fan connection on the mainboard. For the exact position of
the connection, please refer to the operating instructions for the mainboard. The connection may
be labelled "CPUFAN1" or similar.
• Install the mainboard in the housing of the computer. In doing so, do not take hold of the main-
board by the CPU cooler.
• Secure all cables by means of one or several cable ties so that they cannot become entangled in
one of the computer's fans.
• Then close the computer housing again, connect your computer to the mains supply and
switch it on.
Before opening the computer again, switch it off and disconnect it from the mains
voltage; pull out the mains plug!
Tips and notes
• If you have no specialist knowledge of installing CPU coolers, please arrange for the instal-
lation to be carried out by a specialist or a suitable specialist workshop. This will still be
cheaper than a permanently damaged CPU and defective mainboard.
Permanently damaged CPUs with broken-off pins or mainboards with deep scratches
alongside the CPU base are not covered by the warranty or guarantee!
• If the CPU cooling element ever needs to be removed, the CPU cooling element and the CPU must
be cleaned of all remnants of the old heat-conductive paste before the cooling element is put back
in place; and the new heat-conductive paste must be applied after cleaning is completed. A thin
layer of approx. 0.1mm to 0.2mm is sufficient. A piece of thin cardboard can be used to spread the
paste.
Apply the heat-conductive paste only to the approx. 1 * 1cm „DIE" (the actual processor).
The heat-conductive paste is only for a single usage and cannot be reused. The materi-
al is altered by the effects of heat.
• There must only be a thin layer of heat-conductive paste between the CPU and the cooling element.
For example, never place a temperature sensor in between! Through the resulting greater distance
between the CPU and the cooling element, the cooling effect will be lessened; the CPU will over-
heat and be permanently damaged. Attach a temperature sensor at the side of the cooling element.
• The relatively heavy weight of the cooling element/fan can lead to problems in transporting the
computer. Through impacts/blows as they can occur for example during transport in a car, the
cooling element/fan could become separated from the CPU base. This not only damages the CPU
base, but also results in damage to other components in the interior of the computer housing
caused by the sharp edges of the cooling element.
Therefore when transporting the computer by car, make sure it is loaded with the main-
board resting at the bottom.
Disposal
Dispose of the product at the end of its service life in accordance with the relevant sta-
tutory regulations.
