6-Way Surge Protection Multi-way
Extension Socket Donut

Intended Use
This donut shaped 6-way surge protection multi-way extension socket is intended for connecting
up to 6 power consumers (max. 16A). The multi-way extension socket also contains a EMI/RFI
Filter (up to 35 dB) and surge protection with complete, 3-core surge protection (P-N, P-E, N-E).
The integrated ON/OFF switch makes it possible to activate or deactivate all of the sockets at
the same time.
The product is only approved for use in dry indoor locations.
Any use other than that described above is not permitted and may harm the product and result
in short circuits, fire, etc. The product must not be modified or converted. Always observe the
safety instructions included in these operating instructions. Read the operating instructions care-
fully and keep them for later reference.
Explanation of the Symbols
A lightning-bolt symbol in a triangle indicates a health hazard, e.g. danger of
electric shock.
The exclamation mark in a triangle indicates a particular risk during handling, ope-
ration and control.
The „Hand" symbol indicates special tips and operating information.
Safety Instructions
The warranty will be void in the event of damage caused by failure to observe
these safety instructions! We do not assume any liability for any consequen-
tial damage!
Nor do we assume liability for damage to property or personal injury caused
by improper use or failure to observe the safety instructions. The warranty
will be void in such cases.
• The product must not be modified or converted, as not only the CE appro-
val will become void but also the warranty.
• The product must not be exposed to extreme temperatures, strong vibra-
tions, humidity or heavy mechanical stress.
• When the product is taken from a cold to a warm room (e.g. during trans-
port), condensation may be produced. This could damage the product.
There is also the danger of a fatal electric shock! Wait until the product has
reached room temperature before using it. This may take several hours.
• Electronic devices are not toys and should be kept out of the reach of chil-
dren!
• Please contact a qualified person if you are unsure about the safety or the
correct use of the product.
• Never leave the packaging material lying around unattended. Plastic
film/bags etc. can be dangerous playthings for children, there is a risk of
suffocation.
• If you have reason to assume that safe operation is no longer possible,
disconnect the device immediately and secure it against inadvertent ope-
ration.
• The product is intended for use in dry interiors, it must not get damp or
wet. This could not only destroy the product but it also presents a mortal
hazard through an electric shock!
• Handle the product with care, it can be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental drops, even from a low height.
• Never place any containers containing liquids, such as buckets, vases or
plants, in the direct vicinity of the product. Liquids may seep into the
casing and thus impair the electrical safety of the device. Furthermore,
there is a significant risk of fire or of a lethal electric shock! In this case
disconnect the wall socket from the mains (e.g. switch of at the circuit
breaker). Afterwards, the product can no longer be used; take it to a spe-
cialist workshop.
• In commercial institutions, the accident prevention regulations of the
Employer's Liability Insurance Association for Electrical Systems and
Operating Materials are to be observed.

Using for the First Time
• Place the ON/OFF switch to the „O" position (= sockets are deactivated).
• Non-slip pads are included. They can be inserted in the openings of the mounting screws on
the bottom of the casing.
• Connect up to 6 power consumers with a max load up to 3680 Watt (230V/AC 16A).
• Plug the earthed plug of the surge protected multi-way extension socket into a standard mains
socket (with protective earth wire) connected to the the public grid (230 V/AC, 50 Hz).
• Pit the ON/OFF switch in the „I" position (= sockets are activated). Thereafter, the green LED
„SURGE" flashes (= surge protection is active), and the red LED „POWER" (= sockets are acti-
vated + operating voltage is on).
Control LED „SURGE" (surge protection function)
The function control signal (green LED „SURGE") indicates that the surge protection is activated.
If this control signal is off, then there is no surge protection available. In which case we advise you
have the product tested by a qualified specialist at one of our specialised repair shops.
Maintenance and Care
The product does not require any maintenance and should never be opened or disassembled
for any reason.
Prior to cleaning the device, pull the plug out of the mains outlet. Clean the outside with a clean,
soft cloth. Never use aggressive cleaning agents or chemical solutions since these might damage
the surface of the casing or impair the operation.

• Do not cascade the product (i.e. do not plug several switchable plug adap-
ters, multiple outlet strips or travel surge protections in to one another).
• Only use a standard power socket (with protective earth wire) connected
to the public power supply (230V~/50Hz) to power the product.
• Never plug in or unplug the product with damp or wet hands. Do not use
the ON/OFF switch with wet or damp hands.
• Maintenance, adjustment and repair may only be carried out by a qualified
specialist or a specialised repair shop.
• If you have any questions, which are not answered in this manual, please
contact our technical service or an other specialist.
Always ensure that the max. total load of 3,680 watt is not exceeded.
Dispose of the product at the end of its serviceable life in accordance with
the appropriate legal provisions and regulations (e.g. take it to your muni-
cipality's collection point).
